Notes/Commercial Description:
Strong blond beers were aged in fresh Chardonnay barrels for three months and then additionally aged with dried Adriatic white figs and Spanish lemon peel. Aromas of sweet malts, figs, raisins and citrus zest greet you in the nose. Hints of Chardonnay grapes, lemon peel and sweet figs roll across the palate, leading to crisp lemon sharpness in the finish that will leave a lingering sweetness on the tongue.

Figaro is a dude who one time got married. Many years later, they made a Bugs Bunny cartoon about his famous exploits. And now, today, he is immortalized in beer form.

Pours limp but lovely colored.

Smells excellent. Sour fruit, sour wine. Green grapes, flowers, and tinned figs.

Tastes as it smells, but bolder and deeper (if that makes sense; if, all of a sudden, it's okay to speak about flavors in terms of depth). Starts with lightly tart, effervescent fruit. The key is the lightness of the tart nodes--I'm enjoying the sour, but it's not like I'm drinking an Atomic Warhead. This moves into a juicy middle that's like a thickly alcoholic shandy made out of blonde ales, and the finish is more fruit against white wine nodes. Very nice.

A - Deeper orange interchanges with hazy straw gold

S - Foreshadows the lemon-based tartness which is soon to pepper the tongue

T - Assertive mouth-puckering tartness which I like. Tart white grape and lemon. No discernable fig.

M - Nice mouthfeel.

O - One of the better offerings I tried at Cascade. Generally I found their beers quite samey, but nonetheless this was a solid offering.
