Poured into pint glass during Portland Mighty Mites small beer festival~
This is a pretty simple yet fresh little blonde ale. There is an abundance of fresh aromatics from the Vienna and pilsner malts, a hint of spice, and a slight hint of mint and spruce.
The spruce is more apparent on the palate, but is still in the background. It is interesting, but the beer still tastes like a pretty average blonde ale with a hint of spruce. It would have been better if the blonde ale was a little more interesting to begin with or if there were a little more of a spruce note. Just simple, clean, and straight forward.
