On tap @ the Raccoon Lodge & Brewpub (Portland, OR) on 9/5/11. Served in a pint glass.
Pours a crystal clear copper, with a ½ finger of bright-white head. This retains with a thin creamy richness and throws up a big cascade of lace that hangs in spotty swathes. The aroma smells floral and leafy (and a touch dank), punctuated with some sharper tones of spice and pine and bitter green citrus. A sweet breadiness undercuts the hops a bit. I’m really enjoying the fresh and floral aspects of this.
The taste has a fresh and zesty citric bite, with a moderate resinous feel and some herbal textures that are along for the ride. This is balanced by a neutral sweet graininess, leaving the hops to control the finish with a lingering dryness, pine, and a leafy feeling pithiness. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a smooth crispness that glides along easily. This has a nice quenching feel to it, with this making good use of its lower ABV.
This was good. I enjoyed the mix of Centennial and Calypso hops that were used here, as this focused more on achieving a crisp bitterness on the palate instead of a full-one robust hoppiness per say, but I think that in this case, the ABV and body supported the profile well. Plus I was just in the mood for something like this to pair up with my burger!

Poured on tap into an American pint glass @ Naked City, Greenwood, Seattle. Amber/copper color with a thin head that leaves a nice lace of tiny foam along the sides of the glass. Aroma is a nice balance of malt and hops. Taste is bitter hops, floral, really nice. Overall a good IPA but nothing outstanding.

Poured a thick orange-amber with a finger of fluffy white head. Floral aroma with touches of tangerine and caramel.
Slightly low carbonation and a full, creamy mouthfeel. Mild pine and apricot up front followed by a rich caramel sweetness and just a trace of pine on the finish.
Very tasty; almost the reverse of a "normal" IPA in that I got more hops up front and a lingering sweetness that didn't really turn hoppy again.
