Thanks to mrbubbler for sharing this one at GRG1313’s tasting.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and funky with fruit, wood, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Bottle shared by James. Thanks man.

The beer is a hazy, murky, orange yellow hue with a soft white head. Incredibly profound aroma. Oranges, oak, vanilla, booze. The various barrels meld wonderfully, offering a sweet and sour blend I associate with Cascade. Delicious flavor. So much going on. Luscious and rich, coating the palate. Alcohol presence is there, but I wouldn't have guessed nearly 12%. Yikes. Another unique and tasty wild ale from Cascade.

A: Poured a copperish like color with good carbonation presenting a nice fluffy off white head that dissipates rather quickly leaving a small amount of lacing

S: Rum, vinegar, bourbon, vanilla and fruit basket

T: Immediate lacto sting right upfront and perists from start to finish, Cascades signature move. This is followed by a big sweetness, Rum all the way. Bourbon and wood come to play shortly after and vinous taste and texture come to mind. An array of darker fruits.

M: Medium bodied, well carbonated, no major issues

O: A very good beer. Not a big fan of Cascade and their pricing antics but I wuld pay $25 for this, not $30

Graciouly brought to a recent bottle share in PDX (alas, I cannot recall who brought it).

The beer pours a gold amber orange color with good head retention and lacing. The nose is interesting and attractive. There's some noticeable fruit and vanilla, but you also pick up a light wine and rum component that is intriguing as well. On the palate, the sour component dominates, but there's enough wine and sweet citrus to counter and balance that sweetness. It really gives the beer a delightful "sweet tart" flavor that is very nice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied to full, with a long sweet tart and vanilla finish. The beer is very light on it's feet, and drinkability is exceptional (but that's typical in most Cascade made beers). Am not a big sour fan, but I could drink this all day (well, except for the 12% abv). Delicious stuff.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep reddish orange. Big off-white head. Retains well. Clings to the glass.

Smell - Layers of aromas. Peaches, citrus, apples, and then the barrels. Rum is most prevalent. Lots of caramel. Booze.

Taste - Perhaps a slight letdown from the nose. Sweet up front, lots of fruit. Peach and other light fruits. Sugary caramel with rum and brandy. Darkens in the back with a hint of the bourbon barrel. Sour throughout, I suppose I should mention.

Mouthfeel - It's heavy and a little bit boozy. Well carbonated.

Overall - An impressive multilayered sour. Trademark Cascade complexity.
