Notes/Commercial Description:
Brilliant clarity, bright golden in color. Pamola Pours with a nice creamy head and subtle malt and hop aroma. Crisp, clean, effervescent start with a touch of malt character and a balanced bitterness. Hop flavors linger nicely. Finishes clean, crisp and dry with a light body. Pamola is brewed with pure, soft Maine water from Lake Auburn; three different hop varieties, plus domestic and imported “Character” malts provide complexity, color and body while making use of a clean, well attenuating, top-fermenting American ale yeast. The beer is then cold conditioned for a smooth, clean and crisp flavor. This one is extremely drinkable!

A - Pours a straw yellow/slightly golden/orange. Lots of fine sediment, quite cloudy in the wider part of my Sam Adams glass, very clear in the lower/thinner portion. Lots of very fine sediment floating around. Nice constant/relatively slow carbonation rising through the beer. Poured a solid finger of barely off-white head, solid lacing. OK retention, a thin layer covers most of the surface ~5 minutes later.

S - Lighter sweet fruity hop presence (apple/lemon/orange). Bready light caramel malt. Slightly yeasty. Fairly subtle but pleasant.

T - Decently bitter (mild+), really nice citrusy qualities. Predominantly lemon, some orange too. A wee-bit bready/sweet from the malts. The citrus qualities of the hops are nicely balanced. Slightly dry finish, does not linger too long.

M - Definitely easy to drink, refreshing and crisp. Lighter bodied, generous/appropriate carbonation.

O - Not a show stopper but enjoyable and easy to drink. If I'm drinking a sixer at a party or something this would be a good one to bring.

Color is a thin yellow gold, just a shade darker than most macros. Smell of grass, stagnant water. Taste is decent though -- light and fizzy with a bit of a malty bite. Ideal for outdoors on a hot day. It's like what I wish a Miller Lite actually tasted like.

A pretty good brew. A good balance of malts and a bit of hops to add a little bitterness but nothing major. The smell was quite fruity so i was expecting more of a fruit flavor however any fruitiness is faint yet there is definitely some there. The mouth feel is quite good, with good carbonation and a pretty dry finish. Overall a pretty good pale ale, crisp and refreshing.
