Availability: Year-round

Notes/Commercial Description:
Brilliant clarity, bright golden in color. Pamola Pours with a nice creamy head and subtle malt and hop aroma. Crisp, clean, effervescent start with a touch of malt character and a balanced bitterness. Hop flavors linger nicely. Finishes clean, crisp and dry with a light body. Pamola is brewed with pure, soft Maine water from Lake Auburn; three different hop varieties, plus domestic and imported “Character” malts provide complexity, color and body while making use of a clean, well attenuating, top-fermenting American ale yeast. The beer is then cold conditioned for a smooth, clean and crisp flavor. This one is extremely drinkable!

Baxter Pamola XTRA Pale Ale has a very thick, frothy, off-white head, lots of thick lacing down the glass, a few streaming bubbles, and a hazy, orange-gold appearance, which becomes hazier when the bottom of the can is swished and poured in. The aroma is of grapefruit, sugary malts, and white bread. Taste is of grapefruit, sugar, malt, and bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Pamola XTRA finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and lager like in it’s somewhat flinty ending. Overall, this is excellent, and I strongly suggest giving it a try.

Color is a thin yellow gold, just a shade darker than most macros. Smell of grass, stagnant water. Taste is decent though -- light and fizzy with a bit of a malty bite. Ideal for outdoors on a hot day. It's like what I wish a Miller Lite actually tasted like.

A pretty good brew. A good balance of malts and a bit of hops to add a little bitterness but nothing major. The smell was quite fruity so i was expecting more of a fruit flavor however any fruitiness is faint yet there is definitely some there. The mouth feel is quite good, with good carbonation and a pretty dry finish. Overall a pretty good pale ale, crisp and refreshing.
