Notes/Commercial Description:
Brilliant clarity, bright golden in color. Pamola Pours with a nice creamy head and subtle malt and hop aroma. Crisp, clean, effervescent start with a touch of malt character and a balanced bitterness. Hop flavors linger nicely. Finishes clean, crisp and dry with a light body. Pamola is brewed with pure, soft Maine water from Lake Auburn; three different hop varieties, plus domestic and imported “Character” malts provide complexity, color and body while making use of a clean, well attenuating, top-fermenting American ale yeast. The beer is then cold conditioned for a smooth, clean and crisp flavor. This one is extremely drinkable!

Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #51 (April 2011):

Cans to the right of us, cans to left of us, cans in front of us! Pale clarity shines and the head impresses us with each sip as it sticks to the glass. Hint of shortbread, and the spicy citric hop is light but pleasing to the nose. Smooth, with enough crispness to be refreshing. The malt base relies on more subtle depth of a blend of North American 2-row barley and barley grown in Maine. Hint of fruit, but then the hops come in to balance and the dryness pulls the palate quick into its finish. A more restrained yet flavorful and quite drinkable ale—if they were aiming for balance, they nailed their target.

Color is a thin yellow gold, just a shade darker than most macros. Smell of grass, stagnant water. Taste is decent though -- light and fizzy with a bit of a malty bite. Ideal for outdoors on a hot day. It's like what I wish a Miller Lite actually tasted like.

A pretty good brew. A good balance of malts and a bit of hops to add a little bitterness but nothing major. The smell was quite fruity so i was expecting more of a fruit flavor however any fruitiness is faint yet there is definitely some there. The mouth feel is quite good, with good carbonation and a pretty dry finish. Overall a pretty good pale ale, crisp and refreshing.
