Notes/Commercial Description:
Bold, complex flavors with a solid malt backbone and assertive hop profile, along with cold conditioning, give this beer its crisp, clean, hoppy finish. Deep amber-to-orangish in color, Stowaway pours with a nice, creamy head; a huge hop aroma of citrus, pine and grapefruit notes; and a big, complex, and intense hop flavor from the 5 different hop varieties and double-dry-hopping procedure used in making this beer. The malt flavor up-front turns dry and crisp; Stowaway is full-bodied but with a dry finish and pleasant, long-lasting, hop aftertaste. This I.P.A. definitely leaves you wanting more.

Day three of Maine beer stash and drinking a beer in between moving boxes down the street to a new apartment. The can of beer was poured into a pint glass

Appearance: Poured a one finger head that reduced to a thin layer and has left some lacing on the glass. Orange yellow color with a medium amount of carbonation and some haziness going on with the beer.

Smell: I got some hints of pine, grapefruit, and sweet malty aroma. Nothing too overpowering and well balanced between all the aromas.

Taste: The grapfruit comes out at you, but then that is followed up by some sweet malts and some pine towards the end. Well balanced. Not too bitter and not too sweet

Mouthfeel: Very smooth and easy drinking. Medium amount of carbonation and easy on the palate. A little chewy, but in a good way.

Overall: Another good IPA out of the can and local one too. Good to know that it is easy to get and find in Maine. Have had this before and would buy it again whether at a Sea Dogs game, Jimmmy the Greeks, or out of can.

Poured to a nice, full, off white head with good retention and lacing. Color was a copper / amber and clear. Aroma was floral and hoppy with sime slight ctrus and caramel notes. Tasted hoppy, floral and spicy up front with caramel notes on the back and a spice finish. Mouthfeel was creamy and full with a dry, clean aftertaste.
