12 ounce bottle, label says this version is brewed at Rust Belt Brewing in Youngstown. Served in a Great Lakes goblet, the beer pours a dark ruby red color with about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The brew smells like toasted malt and some dark fruit. It's a nice but light aroma. It tastes like toasted malt, nuts, caramel malt, and a bit of dark fruit. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and coating with low/moderate carbonation. I think it's an OK brew, worth a try if you can get a single bottle but I wouldn't buy a sixer of this. $1.90 a single bottle.

A pint at Boston's Bistro and Pub on 3/25/13
Red-copper with a bit of chill haze. Decent off-white head with medium lacing. Aroma has elements of caramel, pine, and a bit of honey. Nice balance between the malty sweetness and slightly pine flavors from the hops. Medium to medium heavy body. Low carbonation. While hoppier than most Irish Reds, the malt shines with this one.

Pours a clear amber color with a half inch cream head that immediately dissipates.
Aroma is heavily caramel malt, bready, toasty, with a hint of herbal hop that is almost tea-like.
Flavor reveals a very malt-forward profile, with caramel sweetness dominating. There's significant toasted bready tones, with a touch of citrus hops and herbal notes, but the cloyingly sweet malt overtakes the taste. A nutty aftertaste surfaces late. There's also a bit of a metallic finish.
Body is fairly syrupy, with minimal carbonation and a bit of alcohol warmth.
Overall, nothing to write home about. Too cloyingly sweet and not enough hop balance to keep it drinkable.

Pours a dark caramel with an off white cream-colored head. Delicate lacing, but only slight amounts.
Mouthfeel is rich and lightly carbonated. Good so far.
Aroma is nutty and malty. Unfortunately, taste is off from what I'd expect of an Irish red ale. Resembles a Bock to me. Rich sweet malts with a strong sour aftertaste. Not sure what the "double" refers to, since it seems within the range of a regular Irish red.
Can't say I'd buy this again. Too sour, not very complex.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a dark amber, slight haze but tons of light getting though; decent off-white which fades, but nice retention and lacing; great color. Lots of malts up front. I'm also picking up a good amount of caramel, toffee, chocolate and some dark fruits. Flavors are very clean and there's an enjoyable nuttiness to this one. More caramel and toffee in the flavors. I'm also tasting a touch of corn. There's a subtle bitterness and a nice sweetness as well, making it bittersweet. Mouthfeel is really nice; right amount of carbonation, slightly prickly, smooth. Feels like it's on the lighter side of medium-bodied. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Very easy drinking. Clean beer.
I really like this.. it's a good example of the style. They stay true to the style, and amped up the ABV.

Shared with areich6 thanks to tony for this bottle
A- Pours really red/amber so it passes that test
S- Not getting a lot off this beer, some malt I guess but not a great smell here
T- Not awesome, malty with very little hops.
M- Kind of smooth I guess, Not a lot of carbonation. I suppose this is the best part of the beer
O- The mouthfeel being the best part is like saying you're the best hitter on the cubs, not very impressive

Enjoying with my good friend pschul4
A: Really dark orange to brownish. Pours with little head with no lacing.
S: Smells kind of like a lager. Nothing very significant.
T: Also tastes like a lager with a little bit of caramelly malt flavors to it.
M: Really smooth with a very slight bit of carbonation.
O: Nothing sticks out without this beer. It isn't bad but is nothing to write home about.

Served from the bottle into a pint glass
A- Poured a rich cherry red color with soapy off-white head that left no lace
S- Caramel, toffee, chocolate, vanilla, and biscuit aroma. Very malty. Aroma was pretty complex, but the aroma went away in less than a minute.
T- Big rich caramel and toffee, vanilla notes, biscuit, slightly chocolatey, and juicy fruity undertones. Some spicy hop character with some nice but not anyway overpowering bitterness.
M- Soft mouthfeel and pretty full bodied, very smooth, creamy, and drinkable.
O- Ohio Brewing Company does a really good job with Irish Red Ales, this one and their Cardinal Red are some of the best of the style I have had.

This beer was served out of a 12oz. bottle dispensed into a glass....
Presentation - Very simple yet effective and well put together label.
Appearance - Pours out a deep amber color with a 1 finger tan foam head that dissipates into a nice foam ring.
Smell - Smells of sweet caramel malts with a hint of hops.
Taste - Taste of a biscuity malt with alot more hop bitterness than I expected.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with not much carbonation.
Drinkability - Hops and bitterness kind of overpower the flavor of this beer. A good offering but I could only see drinking a few of these.
I enjoyed this and would try again especially since it is brewed in my home town of Akron, OH!

The bottle proudly states brewed and bottled by Ohio Brewing. This one pours a deep amber red color, with a light tan head. Fine even speckled lacing surrounds the pint glass. Aromatics provided herbal/slightly earthy hops with a caramel malt profile. Flavor has nice cereal grains with hints of caramel and malts. Moderate earthy bitterness with a touch of pungent hops. Mouthfeel is medium bodied not too cloying in anyway just a really nice version of a bigger Irish Red ale.
