I must admit. I forgot, but I believe (99%) this beauty was sent by jhavs.

This gem pours a burnished amber to almost crimson or ruby in hue. Absolutely gorgeous. A slight head develops with tiny, tightly packed, bubbles that are oatmeal colored. This recedes to a perfect ring with wet, mobile lacing that slowly meanders down the glass.
Smell is definitely a blend of Bourbon, caramel notes, subtle drying out hops, and ever so shy dried fruit akin to dates. Based on the nose, I'm not sure if this is going in the American or English direction.
Taste is warm and sweet, embracing my whole mouth. Here's where I'm thinking I'm dealing with an American Barleywine. The Bourbon is definitely there, but it rounds out in the mouth, brings some warmth, brings some Bourbon sweetness. But...There is also caramel, toffee, an earthy hop note that trims the sweetness a bit. Not picking up any dates now, but a slight woodiness on the finish.
Mouthfeel is full enough for style, slightly slick, and warm.
Overall, a very solid American Barleywine. I enjoyed the smell a bit more than the flavor.

Extremely delicious Bourbon Barrel Barley-wine. Received as an extra in a recent trade but this was an amazing caramel and bourbon libation! Would love to have some more!

Can dated 12/11/15:
Pours clear with an amber/auburn body that turns the light that filters through a deep maroon. Not much in head, and what is there doesn't last. But carbonation is visible on each tip of the glass.

The nose is heavy on the bourbon and wood notes early. These fade with the warmth necessary to smooth out the taste of this beer. Light hints of char, lightly toasted coconut, and maybe a little leather are what I can pick out. Really late I also picked up some salted caramel.

I definitely upped my ratings as I slowly sipped this and the beer warmed. I let it warm initially, but it still was a little alcohol laden. I wasn't patient enough, as the bourbon, wood, pine tips to clean hop bitterness, and milk caramel maltiness do come together nicely in time. Opening the whole thing is a light unsweet berry note that doesn't get time to fully form as the pine and bourbon quickly take the fore. The lightly sweet caramel base plays second fiddle but is a nice compliment.

A well done beer that leans lightly on the barrel aging flavors, but has the base beer hold itself up to the infusion fairly well.

Can shared by Curran today, thanks man.

This one pours a moderately dark amber, with a very small head, and a little bit of lacing.

This one smells like mild sweet bourbon, caramel, toffee, and vanilla. It doesn't quite jump out of the glass, but it definitely smells good.

This is a really smooth barleywine all around. No one flavor dominates the other, and there is absolutely no sign of the 11.8% alcohol. There's some vanilla, and a little bit of oak, with great caramel and toffee, and just a little bit of bourbon. It's so easy to drink, which is surprising considering the ABV.

This is medium bodied, with a silky and smooth mouthfeel, with a normal level of carbonation for the style.

A really nice under the radar barleywine here, this hits all the rights spots and then some.

Can, 12oz, comes in shrunk wrapped 2 packs. Right at the grocery store, perfect!

Look: Pours deep and full amber, almost a ruby like color. Good clarity, whisp of foamy head rings the side of my snifter

Smell: The bourbon barrels are noticeable right off the bat, smooths to allow hints of vanilla, caramel, and sweetness through.

Taste: Suprisingly smooth flavors, the bourbon, oak, and thick malt sweetness blend together, very nuanced, clean.

Feel: Full side of medium body, a tad bit syrupy, lower carbonation level, suitable to the style.

Overall: I purchased a few 2 packs, well worth the price (about 6$ a can). May get a few more to age. Sebago has been sneaking up on me, got to say this is a great big BA Barleywine, and their recent hoppy offerings have been stellar (Hop Swap, Whistle Punk). Gone are the days when they were the "meh" brew pub I never wanted to go to.
