I am excited to review this beer, this was the brew that got me into IPAs, and made me realize I am a hop head. Haven't actually had one for a while so I wonder how it stands up to some of the great IPAs I have enjoyed in the last few years.
A - poured a brilliant clear golden with orange highlights. 1.5 finger thick white head. Great retention, took a while to subside but remained a nice fluffy cap that lasted to the end. Ample lacing making this look fresh and lively.
S - I could smell the hops as I opened the bottle, very aromatic... Piney, resinous and floral. Slight caramel malt character in the background.
T - the highlight of the taste is the very intense hop forward flavor, piney and floral. Mild malt taste and sweetness exists in the background along with a nice bite of hop bitterness. There is no freshness date I can find, but from the taste, this is certainly a fresh example and the taste is on par, if not better than some of the more hyped IPAs I have had recently.
M - medium mouthfeel with a light carbonation, fits the style well. Only negative is a slight watery character.
O - Overall, this remains one of my favorite IPAs. Amazing hop centric flavor, more in the style of a west coast IPA, definitely a departure from most Maine IPAs.

From the Sebago brewhouse in Portland ME.
A: deep, clear golden yellow with minimal lacing and 1 mm ring of head. No legs.
S: some lemongrass, citrus zest and light malt all blending well.
T: tropical citrus and lemongrass, with caramel lightly playing about.
M: light-medium, not filling at all. slightly creamy finish with slick finish, minor bitterness playing about.
O: If you can try it....well...try it. Pretty solid offering for a local chain brewery.

a. darker golden color, clear with 1 finger head. Head disappears quickly. Some lacing on glass.
s. Hops, spice (pepper?), Citrus, tropical (passion fruit).
t. Watery - some hops on the back, but light. Some spice but I cannot pick it out.
m. Carbonation seemed light.
o. Debated between 3.25 and 3.5. Refreshing enough for a hot summery day, but flavor is not the best. Will not be purchasing again.
