The Brick House is part of a franchise chain of restaurants that now have 20 locations throughout 10 states. Their stores are sharp looking with a bit of a modern-industrial feel, sporting brick walls, wood, and black steel. The Willow Grove location has windows by the bar that open wide and a gas-fired "fire pit" in front for chilly nights.
They pride themselves on service, and you can't fault them there. Additionally, they seem to be very well run (I've been to 3 locations in three states).
The food is what you'd expect. It's very good but it's not great, nor does it try to be. They simply deliver quality comfort foods: salads, meatballs, burgers, steaks, pizza, fish & chips, etc.
The beer follows suit, and although they have 27 different beers on tap there's nothing that will stun you. Here's a quick list of the 'specialties' during my last visit:
Stone IPA $6.50
Hoegaarden $6.50
Prism seasonal $5.50
DFH 60 Min. $5.50
Riverhorse seasonal $5.50
Great Lakes seasonal $5.50
Ommegang Hennepin $5.50
Lagunitas IPA $5.50
They do offer cask beers but I haven't tried them; and there are a fair amount of bottles including Negra Modelo, Newcastle, Moosehead, Heineken, Corona, Fosters, Molson, Labatt, Red Stripe, Amstel Light, Pilsner Urquell, Peroni, Harp, Sapporo, Warsteiner, Duvel, PBR, Natty Boh, Shock Top, Killian's Bud Light, etc.
Overall it's just an average restaurant and not really a beer bar.
