Beer bottle (33 cl.), tasted in 2010.

Appearance : golden and orange color, with a very little white foam.
Smell : fruity (melon ?) and caramel aromas.
Taste and mouthfeel : caramel malt flavours, fuity.
Drinkability : an average beer in the Belgian style (brewed with rye).

When in the Limousin...or Rome, you get the point. Pours cloudy tan with a slight head and not enough lace to please my grandmother in any case. The smell is apricots and pine, the hallmark of the hops if I'm not mistaken. No comments from those who know me, please. The taste starts off like a Belgian brown ale, maybe a dubbel, but finishes hoppy. Not aggressively so but it seems like a brewer that lives in Europe and took a trip to California and REALLY liked the beer but didn't want to betray their roots. The mouthfeel is a bit tingly and a bit forgettable, much like your second kiss. Overall, not terrible but not great. This beer seems to not know what it wants to be when it grows up.
