UPDATE: CLOSED.

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. A dozen of the taps were craft breweries Selections today included Bells Oberon, North Coast Scrimshaw Pilsner, Terrapin Rye Pale Ale, Victory HopDevil and Foothills Red. The bottle selection was good as well, including some NC breweries such as Highland and Mother Earth, and a good cross section of styles. The menu is mostly sandwiches and burgers, but there is a good variety of choices within that category and the quality was good. Will definitely visit again.

I went to the Meltdown with a group of friends on the night before Thanksgiving. They feature roughly 10-12 taps, but they had some beers I didn't expect them to have. From what I remember they had Fat Tire, Scrimshaw Pilsner, Allagash Black, Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale, Golden Monkey, Two Hearted, some other craft beers, and I believe Bud Light and Yuengling. They also have a pretty decent bottled beer menu which included some Belgian beers such as Chimay, a selection of NC beers, and other craft and imported beers. It was a much better selection than one would expect. The waitstaff was friendly and efficient and the food was good. Everyone I ate with enjoyed their food and drinks. However, I have a feeling, and I hope I am wrong, that this place won't be around for long due to its location. I recommend the Meltdown and hope to go back sometime soon.
