Pours a reddish brown color with one finger of head. Not too much lacing. The smell is sweet with caramel malt, maybe a little toffee. The taste has a little bit of a coffee flavor, almost espresso bitterness. Some toffee sweetness, but a slightly dry finish. The body is good and thick, and the drinkability is nice right at 5.0% abv. Not too bad for my first Murphy's.

The color was deep mahogany with a burnt like hue that was capped by a relatively stout mass of brownish foam.

The nose was very light but I could detect the malted barley, toast, roasted nuttiness and light biscuit.

The flavor seemed spot on the nose with light flavors but appropriate barley, roasted nut and toasted biscuit.

The feel was dry and easy but thin.

Expected more out if this but it'll do pig, it'll do.

A: Pours a crystal clear dark reddish amber in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and some golden yellow highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a couple of medium sized thick patches surrounded by a thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of toasted and caramel malts with a lighter aroma of earthy hops.

T: Upfront there is a moderate to slightly stronger than moderate flavor of toasted, caramel, and bready malts with very light hints of sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of earthy hops which contribute a light amount of bitterness which lingers slightly.

M: Medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Very easy to drink and enjoyable but not anything overly special - I could easily have a couple of these in a session but it will not likely find a regular place in my fridge.

From a 300ml bottle into a pisner/session glass.

A: Pours a copper/amber, with a half cm. very light-tan head. The head dissipates reasonably fast, leaving a little bit of lacing. No real visable activity.
S: Sweet caramel malts, and light fruity hops. A distant toast/roast
T: Sweet malt. light roast. (dark)Bread-y. A little spice at the end.
M: Feels thin at first, but coats the mouth decently. Carbonation is high for my preference - slight tingle on the tongue. A nice dry finish.
