This pours a wonderfully purple tinged color with a slight haze. Somewhat ethereal looking.
There's a great bouquet on this with a slightly tart, lightly funky, very berry aroma. The flavor is sourly tart and tangy, yet balanced with a berry squeeze full of juicy flavors. This was deliciousness.

This review is for batch 1 NC. Batch 2 paled in comparison.

Very good sour. Tastes like blackberries. The smell was a bit too funky for my personal taste, but overall an impressive fruited sour.

A really beautiful dark color with some ruby and purple.

The beer offers a fine blackberry flavor, almost red grape, and medium tart quality. Combined with some vinegar tart, berry seeds, and funk.

Another fine wild beer from JK.

For the billionth time, thanks for sharing Sonny. Tampa 2015 weekend; full notes during consumption.

A- 500ml bottle poured to a snifter revealing a beer that resembles blackberry in color. A foamy cap rises and has good retention. Frothy ring donates a few sheets of lacing.

S- Berries run the show with hints a sourness and that signature tart blackberry note. Lactic acid comes to mind with a bit of lemons.

T- Blackberry flavor is dominant, fresh and authentic. Flavor of the juice, flesh and seeds of the berries. Actually not all that sour, more of a light tartness kind of like blackberries themselves. Vinous oak feel.

MF- Completely dried out light end body. The bubbles at a low to medium level for me. Finishes tart and a bit slick.

Blackberries probably just about as good as you can do them. Not all that sour or complex but still a great flavor profile.
