Notes/Commercial Description:
La Vie en Rose is a dry, well attenuated, unspiced Farmhouse Ale refermented with the same raspberries used to make Jester King Atrial Rubicite. Naturally occurring wild yeasts impart a sense of place to this unfiltered, unpasteurized, 100% naturally conditioned beer.

thanks to duff27 for the share!

poured into Cantillion wine stem.

Appearance: opaque beer that looks almost identical to pink lemonade. Thin cap of white head that quickly turns into no head at all.

Smell: Lots of raspberries with a decent amount of lacto notes. Lots of cheesy and greek yogert funk.

Taste: Mild tartness. Lotso fresh juicy raspberries. Hints of that cheesy / greek yogert funk that was found in the aroma of this beer. Yeah its simple, but its still remains very tasty!

Mouthfeel: light bodied beer with low carbonation levels. Really refreshing and easy to drink.

Overall: This beer is conflicting between a really mellow sour beer with raspberries and a raspberry berlinner wiesse beer. Its hard for me to decide. I have seen both ends of that spectrum and it really in a gray area. The bottom line is this: its still a good beer brewed with raspberries.

Pour is hazy pinkish orange. Nose is heavy raspberry purée, hint of brett. Taste is very fruity, mostly raspberry, a good bit of tartness from the raspberry. Notes of vanilla faintly behind, maybe a hint of lacto. Carb is light as is the body, very soft feel.

Poured into Jester King glass

A - reddish pink, looks like a strawberry mimosa, slightly hazy

S - raspberry juice, rose petal, wild yeast, wild fermentation funk

T - belgian sour raspberry juice, crisp, clean balanced sour

M - tingly acid lacto effervecense, thinning as is hits the back of the tongue

O - really nice easy drinking sour for a saison lover. not life changing but very good and would definitely search out another

Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a stemmed JK glass.

A- pours a grapefruit colored, hazy body with a small light pink head that reduces quickly. Leaves no lacing.

S- subtle berries, tart acidity, sharp citrus, funky yeast

T- Upfront a nice dry tartness, followed by berries and sour lemon. Raspberries and funky farmhouse on the follow through, finishes with caramel and vanilla. Very nice

M- dry, medium body with light carbonation

Very nice, not over the top sour but very flavorful and complex.
