Notes/Commercial Description:
A clear and simple expression of the delicate interplay between noble hops and farmhouse yeast. Throughout Northern Europe, light-bodied, well-hopped, low alcohol table beers were often the beverage of choice with all meals at times and in places where the water wasn’t always safe to drink.

Appearance is a light cloudy yellow color with a half finger head.
Aroma is bready, straw, lemon.
Taste is more of the same. Grains, yeast, light malt.
Mouthfeel is medium and crisp. Doesn't leave much lingering.
This is a refreshing beer but not complex at all.
It's one or two dominant flavors.

Consumed 6/14/14

Split with Goblinmunkey7

Appearance: Lightly hazy, pale gold with some straw and tangerine - pours with a large, fluffy, white head - fades to a solid, medium cap, leaves some really nice blobs and streaks of lacing

Smell: Definitely smells light, but that's definitely not a bad thing - some light saison aromas, with some nice Jester King yeast - some earthiness, but mostly clean - very pale malts with a slight hint of wheat, light bread

Taste: Light and flavorful - basically tasted like a subdued saison - light yeast with some light earthiness, spice - lightly grassy - some hints of lemon - finishes very dry, almost wine-like

Mouthfeel: Light body, nicely carbonated, very smooth and absurdly refreshing

Overall: Brewed with real tables!

This is extremely drinkable, which is definitely the point of this beer. This is flavorful with some nice pale malts and yeast. I wouldn't have guessed the extremely low ABV.

Thanks to angrybabboon for sharing the bottle.

Appearance: Hazy bright yellow. Head is fluffy, creamy, and dense. Solid retention leaves a couple cm head for the duration. Some slightly sticky lacing. Vigorous pop on open. Solid carbonation.

Smell: Farmhouse funk. Wet Jester King funk. Damp earth coupled with hay and grass. Earthy with some hints of lemon. A touch floral as well. Malts are crazy light with some mild bready notes and snappy cracker. Pale malt sweetness. A touch sweet overall. Powdery yeast. Super clean and light. A touch of spicy esters with a fruity undercurrent.

Taste: Very light funk. A touch of bright lemon juice. Floral. Earthy and damp but it's all super mellow. A touch of banana and mango. Slight tart edge runs through the back. Powdery earthy yeast. Almost like seltzer. So very clean. Hay and grass abound. Pale malts add some slight bready sweetness. A touch of toasted malt. Crackery snap with some bread crust. Light hint of apple and pear in the back. A touch of something woody.

Mouthfeel: Light body with a medium-high carbonation. A bit crisp on the back. Super clean and easy. A bit bubbly.

Overall: Also in French.

I need this for all the meals forever. A solid table beer with enough character to keep it interesting. More a funky yeast soda.
