Pours out a hazy orange color with a thick head that dissipates into a thin ring around the glass. Smell is pale malts, a touch of booze, a bit of Belgian yeast, and a huge hit of noble hop. Big saaz and goldings in the nose. Taste is quite sweet up front. Very malty. The yeast is brings some esters, but it's not out of bounds. Lots and lots of Euro hops. Not much bitterness, just lots of herbal, earthy, tea-like hops. The malt, hops, and subdued yeast all remind me more of a biere de garde rather than a saison. Delicious. The mouthfeel is somewhat full, but extremely light considering the abv. Nice, bubbly carbonation. Finishes drying. Overall, this is so solid. Gives some actual Belgian/French farmhouse bieres a run for their money -- and I'm hard to please when it comes to these kinds of beers. Jester King has been impressing me lately. Great job.
