750ml bottle poured into tulip 21/7/13
A doesn’t look jet black but only has a thin cola edge, just a thin pinky of mocha foam even after a dump down the center, just a few specks of lace
S loads of dark chocolate covered coffee beans, burnt espresso, bakers chocolate, coco powder, faint smoke and just a hint of licorice
T a little of the peppers in the mouth that I wasn’t smelling on the nose, even more coffee and burnt dark roast, rather intense really, some char replaces the smoke on the nose
M not as thick as the color would imply but still has plenty of body, faint heat from the peppers builds slowly
O great coffee flavors and the mellow heat works well, lots of dark roast but no booze at any point
Solid coffee stout that I’ll look for in the future, thanks Mike and Trevor for sharing

750ml Bottle shared by cfrancis - thanks!
Appearance - Brown/black colour with tints of red and an average size fizzy/frothy beige head. I can't make out the amount of carbonation showing and there some fair lacing. The head lasted for 3-4 minutes before it was gone.
Smell - Malts, chocolate, coffee
Taste & Mouth - There is an average amount of carbonation and I can taste malts, chocolate, and coffee. There are also some smokey/burnt notes and a bit of a nuttiness. Only at the end do I pick up on the spicy/hot flavours - and they linger.
Overall - A good beer but not something I could drink a whole lot of. Towards the end of my glass I was wishing the spicy ingredients hadn't been added to the beer. Still neat to try.

Again thanks to Calvin (ApostleBrewing) for this goody, shared with rudzud and others.
No head, pitch black beer nice legs.
Nose nice big dark malts, tons of dark choc, nice barrel aromas, very smooth nutty coffee, hint of roast, syrupy caramel, nice coffee.
Taste stats with a thick stout, dark choc, little roast, light char, barrel, nice smooth mellow slightly nutty coffee, starts to get earthy and bit of coffee grains, light caramel and vanilla, little tingly warming booze. Finish is syrupy, thick mouth coating, some booze, dark malts, light smooth coffee. It was very hard to find the chipotle, but a faint heat on the back end, and faint hint of a smokey pepper thing finally starts to come through, but very light.
Mouth is thick bod, decent carb, some booze.
Overall pretty nice beer, good smooth kopi coffee, dark malts underneath, but compared to the Kopi Speedway or the Dark Apparition Kopi BA it's a little below them. With the pepper was a little more prominent too.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown hue with no head or lacing, nice legs though.
S - Aromas of sweet malts, chocolate, faint coffee. Not add much luwak as I had hoped.
T - Taste is lightly malty sweet, dark chocolate, older sweet coffee. It's not bad but not really coffee enough. Faint vanilla bits as well.
M - Mouthfeel is light and lowly carbonated, not much ABV though all things considered.
O - Overall I was pretty sure I'd already had this and reviewed it but oh well, I remember this being much better. Hmm.
