We went to Jester king on a Saturday afternoon. It is outside of Austin in the boonies! I wouldn't really care except the last part of the drive which is on thier property is a dirt road and I just washed my car that morning! Just one word of advice, don't wash your car before you go there because the road and parking lot is all dirt! I saw Ferrari's and Porsche's out there covered in dust. And they guy that was directing parking got pissed off at us because me and my friends family wanted to park next to each other in the dirt parking lot! That was a bad first impression. I asked him nicely if we counld park next to I hate to complain but there is over 100 cars in the parking lot you would think they make enough money to pave the Road going out to there place and put proper parking. I won't go out again until they pave it. Then their was a thirty min long line just to get beer at the bar where only two people were working. I tasted several beers that I checked out here ahead of time that I thought woud taste good but, sorry to say they didn't.
And they only had about five or six on tap at the time. And when I requested one of the bottles on the menu they gave me the wrong beer which I did't notice till I drank it and it tasted bad too. Even my buddy that went with me said the same thing. The ones on tap were really bland tasting and watery, or really sour which I don't like either. I was trying to find a good thick tasting beer or malty beer but out of the five or so I tried nothing was good. And they charged for samples too. On top of that they didn't even have a sample tray like many breweries have (Russian River was ausome a few weeks ago!) The pizza at the place next door which is a big barn was really good, chewy thin crust pizza but some good natural style toppings. And they had beer there also, so if you go there maybe just go to the Pizza place, plenty of seating and they had no big lines for the beer. Sorry to say but I don't know how they rated a 100 for their brewery!
