Was really looking forward to checking out Jester King's new taproom having heard such amazing things about it. When you first drive up it is really impressive. Huge barn/brewery on the left and a large pavilion off to the left, connected to the pizza shop. Walking up to the brewery it really strikes you how beautiful the setting really is. Lots of stone, trees and picnic tables scattered amongst them. All of this lends itself to making an incredible atmosphere to drink beers in. We grabbed a table in the shade and just enjoyed the natural environment. Some of the other people should really learn to control their kids as they were really hurting others enjoyment but we tried not to let that bother us to much. Quality was quite high. As I said earlier the space is amazing while the beers are served in nice wine glasses. Service was solid all around, the initial wait was a bit much since they didn't really have a defined line and people just kept walking past us to make their own. Selection was great, both in house and to go. I love that they post the menu's on their website so I could plan out a few of the beers I was looking to try. I didn't try the food as I was still full from my Franklin BBQ lunch, humble brag, so I didn't try the pizza but from what I saw it looked excellent. Prices were more than reasonable, both the drafts and bottles to go. Overall an absolutely amazing place to have a beer, especially theirs. I would love to have this place around me. I will definitely return the next time I am in Austin.

Jester King Brewery is located away from the suburbs in a quiet isolated location that is somewhat hard to find. However, it is a cozy place with a great vibe, lots of great beer, and not just their own beer. Their beer menu was very large. There’s plenty of outside seating that’s spread out and yet partially heated when it’s cold. They have friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic service and prices are reasonable. You get the food right across the yard from a pizza restaurant that has very good pizza.

Unfortunately the line for the food is horrendous, which is why some people drive several miles to get something else (as I said it’s isolated), or bring their own food. The very long pizza line is an unfortunate joy-killer that they need to fix. I did not lower the service rating because the restaurant is separate from the Brewery (so part of the Vibe instead). This is why I am rating it as low vibe, despite the otherwise good vibe.

I've spent my last two birthday's at Jester King. My only regret? Waiting so long and not coming frequently enough! I've never encountered bad service. They have a small outdoor bar with a few on draft and a few bottles. The bar inside can have a long line but can move fast. Great beer selections too (duh). Also, if you come, you HAVE to go to Stanley's! It's some of the best pizza in the city!

You can't beat the cool vibe of the location. Like a giant outdoor party everyday. Service is pretty slow, but they have a great attention to detail and the beer is fantastic.

This place is an oasis. As opposed to respite from the desert, it's more of an escape from the traffic jams, suits, techies, panhandlers, beggars, and stench of Austin. If you're not from Austin, and want to know the best way to enjoy your visit to this brewery, which offers some of the most refreshing farmhouse ales imaginable, then PM me.

Cool, rustic setting on a working farm down a long road in what seems like the middle of nowhere. Visited from CA luckily during release of Aurelian Lure so it may have been busier than usual which may have led to the line to get beer on tap being quite long. It was very organized, workers were helpful and cool & they had many different stations setup for bottle purchases & beer on tap. Family friendly and guest vibes were also very positive/friendly. Unfortunately they don't serve food but there's a pizza place literally right next to it...100 feet away. That line for pizza was crazy long (worth it though) but my wife and I divided and conquered for beer/food purchases. They basically share eating/drinking space with one another. All beers were amazing. Jester king really only has sour beers but they had a large # of beers on tap and bottles to take home too including guest bottles. Highly recommend.

Great time. The "tour" of the brewery was awesome and interesting.
Beers were great. The pizza on location is awesome too. Plan to be out there for the day but it's well worth it. Bring a bunch of friends and have a good time.

Not enough shade for Texas summers, but during milder weather it's a joy to be on the grounds. Friendliness of staff is patchy -- from slightly put-out to super nice (the former being, oddly, some of the order takers and the latter being workers like the empty glass retriever and hand stamper). Can't really fault them for being so busy that lines take a long time, but certainly would like all the staff to be as nice and friendly and helpful as some of them are.

Also their awareness and accommodation of novice visitors/beer enthusiasts is similarly lacking. If at all possible, I'd highly, highly recommend making your first visit with someone who knows the ropes, otherwise you will likely feel like you're slowing down an already overburdened system. I'll definitely return, and look forward to it, but I feel like I'm a lot more on my own than I should be in terms of enjoying my time there as a newcomer on his own. Great sour-style beer and pleasant hill country, farmhouse atmosphere, with a top-notch pizza place basically on the same grounds, it's just the learning curve of being a helpful patron is a little more than I expected or would hope, though some really friendly staff can be found there.
