Atmosphere - A lot to do with the weather, as consumption generally occurs outdoors. That said, on a beautiful day/night in hill country it cannot be beat. The serving bar and brewery itself are a charming metal and stone building that feel so right in this setting.

Quality - The beers speak for themselves. I enjoy nearly everything they make.

Service - Great folks working as fast as the beer allows. Large crowds can lead to longer waits. They have an outdoor pouring station to help on busy days, but sometimes demand is so high there is little that can be done.

Selection - If you enjoy farmhouse styles, you get the feeling of a kid in a candy store. Many guest bottles and draughts are also available.

Food - Stanley's Farmhouse Pizza is an adjoining, separate business. Therefore, I am not adding them to the review score of Jester King. I look forward to a day when additional food options become available, such as during special events when food trucks are on site.

Value - Like anything, you get what you pay for. Well worth the price.

One of the best, family friendly, fun places to drink beer I've been to. Lots of Millennials with lots of kids playing and having a great time. Such a young vibe and so many beers. There is the Jester King sour/farmhouse lineup on tap, then a wide assortment of Texas brewed beers, then a wide selection of bottles from around the country/world. And live music! Lots of parking and lots of seating under roof and out in the shade and/or sun. This place has great beer, and you have to go just to hang out. Unbeatable!

This was a highlight of our trip to Austin. We managed to hit it on the perfect day and hung out under the trees for probably 4 hours. Jester King has awesome grounds with a ton of space. We loved being able to sample so many different beers as well as take them to go.

With the multiple bars on property, the bottle sales, the selection is spectacular. Local beers, Jester King beers (of course), beers from around the US, and beers from around the world. Add wine and cider to the mix. The vibe? I mean ... this is a rambling farm in beautiful hill country. Places to frolic and a number of different venues to explore from tin walled barns, to picnic tables, to grassy fields. One of the few truly magical beer destinations in the US.

Jester King is located on the outskirts of Austin. It is about a 30 minute drive with no traffic.

The brewery lies on what seems to be an old farm. Its a really nicely laid out property with food options also located there (a wood burning pizza place seemed pretty popular).

The way the brewery is set up, you can buy your bottles outside and/or you can do some tastings where you pick up the glasses inside and drink on benches outside.

I'm not really sure how it would work in the rain, but on the sunny day I visited, it was really awesome. I'd say it should definitely be on your places to visit in Austin.

I was visiting a buddy in Dallas and we devided to make the journey down to JK for the weekend. All I can say is that it was like nothing I have ever seen before. Huge tasting "facility" with outdoor stations and an indoor tap room. Gave me a feel of a German beer garden, except WAY BETTER.

This is hands down the best brewery experience I have had. I got to JK every 4-6 weeks and have a great time each visit. The property is beautiful and relaxing sitting in the Texas hill countries. I absolutely love this brewery and their beer.

Great place. Good selection of their own beers, plus many guest bottles for sale. Do yourself a favor and come hungry. Brick oven pizzas for sale right next door. Kids and dogs welcome, very laid back vibe. Highly recommended.

Jester King Brewery is located away from the suburbs in a quiet isolated location that is somewhat hard to find. However, it is a cozy place with a great vibe, lots of great beer, and not just their own beer. Their beer menu was very large. There’s plenty of outside seating that’s spread out and yet partially heated when it’s cold. They have friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic service and prices are reasonable. You get the food right across the yard from a pizza restaurant that has very good pizza.

Unfortunately the line for the food is horrendous, which is why some people drive several miles to get something else (as I said it’s isolated), or bring their own food. The very long pizza line is an unfortunate joy-killer that they need to fix. I did not lower the service rating because the restaurant is separate from the Brewery (so part of the Vibe instead). This is why I am rating it as low vibe, despite the otherwise good vibe.

I've spent my last two birthday's at Jester King. My only regret? Waiting so long and not coming frequently enough! I've never encountered bad service. They have a small outdoor bar with a few on draft and a few bottles. The bar inside can have a long line but can move fast. Great beer selections too (duh). Also, if you come, you HAVE to go to Stanley's! It's some of the best pizza in the city!
