This is a very light and crisp blonde, no bitter aftertaste, but also no real discernible flavor profile.

On tap at the brewpub in San Diego.
Poured clear pale golden with a small short-lived head.
Aroma: appealing light bready malts.
Flavor mild flavor, as expected. Perhaps a touch more hoppy than average.
FeeL: light body with an unfortunate bite/burn that's really out of place in a beer of ths style.
O: OK if not for the mouthfeel.

On tap at The Beer Company in San Diego, CA.
Pours a hazy light yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, and some grassy aromas. Taste is much the same with a grassy flavor on the finish. There is a very mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but basic.

San Diego Blonde on tap - served in a Shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Hazy golden yellow with a thin white head. Plenty of lacing (strands and islands) as I drank it down.
Smell: Not a lot of aroma coming off of this one - barest amount of hops and some sweet malt.
Taste: Initial sip starts off good - malty and then nice transition into German Noble Hop flavors (earthy, spicy, herbal), but then it finishes on an unusual bitter finish which is part Noble Hop, part sweetened tea with lemon. Not a good finish - clashes a bit with the rest of the beer flavor.
Mouthfeel: Just a hair above watery. Not bad, but not impressive either. Carbonation level good though.
Overall / Drinkability: Starts off promising, ends badly. The lack of mouthfeel doesn't help matters either. Not something I would try again.

San Diego Blonde on tap at The Beer Company.
A: Light blond in color with a finger of white foam.
S: A little bread with grain notes accompany a light sweetness. There's a dash of apple with grassy hop notes.
T: Grainy and lightly sweet with a low grassy bitterness. I get a blend of apple and pear as well as a touch of bread.
M: Light in body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is dry and smooth.
Overall: A refreshing beer but very simple, even for the style.
