The key advantage here is convenience, once most stores are located in shopping malls, though you pay a high price for that. Likely among the most expensive place for buying craft , even comparing to some other much more sophisticated places in Sampa. And selection is not great, once their focus is on the business per se (nothing against it, it is just a fact), targetting the biggest sellers. Also another side effect is that it lacks some of the passion for beer that some owners and employees from some places show when attending its customers. Nonetheless, the service is not bad, and in their real store in Av. Aclimacao, it is decent. If you want to try it head to this one.
Interesting business model, though they might be able to sell more volume if prices where better balanced, and at the same time help promoting good beer in the country of Inbev/Ambev.

Note: There are multiple locations of Mr. Beer throughout São Paulo, but the one listed here is for the one located inside Shopping Center 3.

Shopaholics who happen to love beer will be glad to know that there´s a kiosk for Mr. Beer, located on the food court level near a currency exchange. The mall (and Mr. Beer kiosk) is right off the famous Avenida Paulista, conveniently located near the Consolação subway station. The setup is a very small kiosk, akin to a cellular phone kiosk. But in that small amount of space they manage to pack in a lot of different beer brands (over 200 labels is the claim) and glassware. It´s a very clean and organized display, and a portion of the bottles are refrigerated.

Much of the brands are imports with a small Brazilian selection. Labels include OPA Bier, La Trappe, DeuS, Christoffel, 1795, Flying Dog, Wells Bombardbier, Boon, Meantime, Traquiar House, Harviestoun, Franziskaner, Hofbrau, Murphy´s, Colorado, Coopers, Petrus, Brooklyn....surprisingly there´s no Eisenbahn or Baden Baden.

A couple of fellows manned the kiosk and checked up on me during my search. One seemed to have some beer suggestions to a couple of customers.

This is a neat business model. Brazilian malls tend to attract customers with upper-middle incomes; why not rent a small space in a place that´s bound to get a lot of foot traffic from higher incomes?
