I visited this place while travelling in Europe on a pit stop to meet my parents in the Algarve. As soon as I saw the sign I knew I had to see what the deal was as this area isn't too versed in craft beer.
It was definately a work in progress when I visited. By the looks of their website, the bar they spoke about opening next door is in full swing and the bottle shop looks to be much more organized.
Staff seemed incredibly enthusiastic about their new endeavour and were more than happy to chat about beer. They were curious as to why I picked out the bottle of Orval I bought and the owner's wife was especially curious about what sort of flavours I would be getting. Their enthusiasm made the experience worthwhile, even if they didn't know as much as I would expect from people that own a bottle shop.
The selection wasn't great but better in terms of Belgian and British bottles than I can find at home and compared to everything else available in the region, I was willing to overlook it.
Prices weren't great, but not over the top either. I think I paid 3 euros for the bottle of Orval I bought and I didn't give it a second thought.
I'd be very curious to see how the place has developed from what appeared to be very much a work in progress.
