Had on tap at Thai Me Up. Review from notes.

A: Pours a darker copper color with a small off-white head on top, decent retention and lacing.

S: Wow, extremely fruity. Lots of citrus and tropical fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, and papaya.

T: Very similar to the aroma, just a blast of tropical fruits, chiefly grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine.

M: Medium bodied with smooth mouthfeel. Very easy drinking.

O: A really nice beer, tons of citrus fruit which is something I am always looking for.

Fresh growler, opened in Portland Oregon.

A - Pours straw colored with amber edges, a thin but frothy white foam on top. Crystal.

S - Bruleed grapefruit, kumquat, resinous pine, & sweet biscuit.

T - Tight, bright and bitter, grapefruit pith, lemon, long lingering bitterness.

M - A nice, even body with surprising carbonation, given the growler transport.

O - A very tasty, well-executed rendition of the style. Next Level, I'd say. Glad I got to try it!

Served On-Tap

A — Pours a nice orangey amber hue into the glass, with an straw colored head on top of the beer, leaves behind a nice bit of consistent lacing.

S — Smells quite piney, earthy, herbal, resinous, pithy and dank. Lots of woody, grassy, and lemony hop character.

T — Much like the nose, though not so in your face, a nice balance of pine and lemon, with a nice bit of malt sweetness to round everything out.

M — Medium bodied, great carbonation level.

O — Great overall, it's really tough to bet against Melvin. Keep up the good work.

L: Clear amber/gold with a touch of haze. Good lacing, not much head, but that was likely due to the pour.

A: Big, sweet citrus/floral hops, pretty fruity. A slight maltiness is also present, but mainly hops.

T/M: Smooth bitterness upfront, moves into big sweet citrus with grassy pine complexities. The malt is subtle but provides just enough backbone to keep things in check. Smooth mouthfeel and moderate carbonation lead to great drinkability, especially for the abv.

Overall, a great hoppy treat. Good complexity and balance, and a really fruity citrus hop character. I love getting this beer when I come to Jackson.
