Dropped by this place a few days ago, heard some good things about it. Their gimmick is to sell mostly New York/Long Island beers so a lot of it is micro/nano stuff, which, if you ask me, is just fine.
They have two or three rotating taps of fresh local stuff - I had some Barrier Porter which was lovely. Their bottle selection is pretty impressive and the prices are not too shabby, some bottles get up there but that is to be expected.
Service wasn't bad. I mean, it was a Thursday night at 1am but even still - the bartender was nice and at times the owner was back behind the bar serving up some delicious shots. Everyone was amiable and warm.
I didn't have any of the food, although, it seems they do have some selections according to their website. It seems they also put on an event here or there which may also be worth checking out.
Overall it isn't a bad bar, especially seeing what it emerged from. I'm excited to see how it grows and I will definitely be returning for another visit in the near future.
