Had on tap.
One finger of fine white head formed on the pour with good retention. Body has fine carbonation and is a very slightly hazy gold.
Aroma is actually quite citrus driven, but not in a hoppy way. This yeast is very interesting. Not quite funky like most saisons but an almost pure and not very hoppy fresh grapefruit flesh.
Taste is slightly disappointing after the smell. The grapefruit comes through but it feels a bit more hoppy here, although not very bitter. That fruit is the biggest feature here with some very light vanilla and spice coming from the yeast. Very blond otherwise.
Feel is dry and attenuated with a medium long finish. Plenty of carbonation but it is soft and fine, which makes this dangerously drinkable.
Overall, this is a good beer, but it is on the border with a saison, a blonde, and less so, a pale ale. I want more spicy slightly funky saison notes.

(5 oz fat tulip pour at the brewery 17 Sep 4:30p, part of a flight... review copied from notes taken on my phone)
A Dupont clone and a banging one... fruity bubblegum as it goes
what I can add from memory: I could've drank this all afternoon... the first taste was bliss... superbly, faithfully executed... decent foam retention, despite the glass not being perfectly beer-clean... I believe the Dupont reference is on point, so that would also imply there was nothing particularly distinctive about this; it was just damn flavorful (2023)

A clear gold color, small white head around the circumference of the glass.
Yeasty aroma, some citrus, some fruit, a hint of spice.
Taste of apple, lemon, and yeast. Some pepper late.
Crisp finish.
Nice beer!

Chill hazed, golden color with nearly no head on the pour. Rim bubbles remain throughout the tasting but provide little permanent lacing--two or three minor spots.
Farmhouse ale and Belgian yeast aromas dominate the smell. Dry with a small touch of sourness.
There's an apple sweetness to the initial taste. Plenty of carbonation. Not tart and the yeast is present but subtle. The finish is dryer than the start--it reminds me of a fully fermented cider. Thin bodied. Short aftertaste. Overall, this is a milder but still appropriate Saison.

Short off white 1 finger head settles fast to small layer on a clear medium yellow beer. A stream fo bubbles emanates from the bottom center etching of the Duvel glass.
Nose reveals a yeasty malt with a sweet banana coconut aroma.
Taste is a bit melon or mango like flavor with a dry medicinal flavor overtaking the whole show. No barnyard to speak of and the finish is slick with some hints of tropical fruit and maybe some alcohol warming.
Carbonation is medium and does not cut through the cloying mouthfeel. A medicinal herb like dryness rides on top of the feel of the beer.
I have tried beer this several times before and like it. This time I am struggling with its flavor and mouthfeel. I find it a bit too cloying and medicinal this time. It has a BB date of 12-12-20 and was consumed on 8-26-20 so it should be fresh. Perhaps it is my foray into the Pilsners that has me a bit jaded for Belgian styles right now

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had floral notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with floral spice presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.
