"We fight the assault of German Munich malt and German noble hops with our house Saison yeast. The result is a blend of toasty maltiness, fruity esters, and a subtle clean bitterness."

Pours a hazy golden color with a huge white head, great retention, and spotty lace.

The aroma is of freshly bakced bread crust, cut hay, lemon zest, black pepper, ginger, and rich toffee.

The taste has a rich nutty taste of hazelnut, with toffee, barnyard funk, lemon zest, black pepper, and ginger notes. Earthy elements balance things out with a musty finish.

Overall, it is a medium bodied, creamy beer. Very complex and delicious.

A: unfiltered amber color with a light off white head and little lacing.
S: a great aroma of Belgian yeast and caramel maltiness. A bit of almond and banana mixes well.
T: alcoholic Belgian banana and caramel malts create the taste but sweet and bittered perfectly.
M/D: medium bodied smooth and loose feel. A great beer to enjoy, make sure it warms for the perfect aroma and flavor.

We took a trip up to Fort Collins last week to hit a few breweries. Sadly quite a few were closed so we hit this one out of necessity; fortunately for us, this one was quite good across the board. Poured maroon, with a decent little head. Aromas of caramel, spicy yeast and fruity esters. Medium bodied, with flavors of Belgian yeast, spices and caramel malt.

Draft at the brewpub.

Pours a hazy dark golden copper color with golden orange/apricot edges and a two finger frothy off white head that slowly fades into lasting cap.  Sporadic spots of lace left behind.

Slightly toasted malt aroma with subtle earthy quality from the saison yeast.  Kind of funky with hints of hay, straw, straw as well as a prominent spice presence with hints of coriander, lemon zest, pepper and ginger.  Bread yeast and faint floral hops in the nose along with some caramel, hazelnut and toffee.

Full bodied with a nice balance of sweet malt, earthy funk zesty spice and fruity estery alcohol.  ABV less masked than their other beers.  Lots of peppery spice countered by the sweet malt with prominent caramel as well as some toffee, hazelnut and biscuit. Subtle dry bitter finish.  Complex and well balanced.  Very unique but a touch too sweet and with more heat than i prefer.

Sampled at the brewery.

A: Pours a translucent amber brown with a thin cream head. A good amount of carbonation is apparent.

S: Sweet scent with caramel and banana hints typical of Belgian styles.

T: The banana is even more obvious in the flavor, accompanied by other fruit tastes as well. There's a bit of sourness that follows.

M: The taste comes on strong, but the beer is crisp and leaves little aftertaste. Very smooth.

D: The flavor paired with the sharper feel makes it a very pleasant drink. Good example of the style.
