(5 oz fat tulip pour at the brewery 17 Sep 4:30p, part of a flight... review copied from notes taken on my phone)

Peppery, pancakey, granola, dried apricot... alcohol bold but not strident... growing spice expressions; almost chai-like?

what I can add from memory: I was hoping this was named after one of my favorite albums, but nah it was said to be following the Duvel theme of devilish mischief... not quite expecting a Duvel clone (though maybe I should've considering the taste of their Saison), I did find this somewhat distinctive in its flavors... wish it would've been a bit more sharp and dry, but it was still eminently sippable... wish the foam had more of a imposing build... at any rate, this is something I'd love to try bottle-conditioned, if they do that with it (2026)

Pours a light gold, with some sediment visible with just a dusting of white head. Lightly sweet aroma, with a touch of yeasty notes. Mildly sweet flavor, with a nice dry finish. Moderate body and mouthfeel, with light carbonation. Overall a nice Belgian strong.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, thin, white head of foam. It smelled of honey, floral notes, toffee and caramel. Strong boozy heat with honey, caramel and toffee. A very mild bitterness.

This beer pours bold clear gold with a solid head. The aroma has big spice notes of clove and nutmeg, with golden raisin, cantaloupe, banana, brown sugar, and yellow plum. The flavor is rich and sweet, with golden raisin, banana, nutmeg, clove, allspice, cinnamon, and cooked apple. The mouthfeel is full and rich with plentiful carbonation. Overall this is an excellent beer, rich, powerful, vibrant in flavor - such a lovely beer.

This is a very enjoyable beer!

Poured from a bomber into a tulip glass. A cloudy yellow color with a nice rich foamy white head and excellent lacing. Very aromatic with a lemony sweet smell characteristic of Belgian beers of this type. The taste is great. Recommend this beer!

Thanks to Wasatch for another Co. treat!

Pours a cloudy gold with just enough clarity to give the beer gem like appearance. Five fingers fluffy foam float , filling the glass mouth with thick froth.

Tart and doughy yeast notes mix with sharper ones, some herbal and rooty notes, and combine with crisp grain, overripe peach and apple cider aromas to make a delicious bouquet.

Full and bright flavor that carries more bitter than expected, which combines well with the flavors of the nose, all of which are here a'plenty. It is an herbal and spicy bitter that is there at both ends of the sip. Super complex, highly delicious.

Full bodied, medium carb., highly viscous, killer finish with clean linger that entices next sip.

Hard to call this a tripel, better to use the name on bottle, golden ale, though that isn't a style. Highly recommended for folks who like their beers full of flavor and containing the sharper notes of Belgian-esque brewing.

The label says it is best paired with half hearted apologies, so allow me to apologize for having this beer on a weekday.

Look: semi-clear golden, with a two-inch white head.

Aroma: yeast, fruit, banana, a little bit of pepper

Taste: Its sweet, wheat and other grains, yeast, some pepper and I believe cloves, banana, pineapple, pear, some funk, and no hint of the substantial alcohol. It is extremely good, a true Belgian Ale.

Feel: Medium body with significant carbonation, dry, but really nice.

A 22oz bottle picked up in Denver, 2.2017

L - Bright yellow golden, no clarity, 1/2 a finger of head and some lacing left on the glass. Gorgeous beer!

S - Belgian candy sugar, spices, dried fruit.

T - Spices and pepper up front, and then the belgian bomb explodes. Apples, pears, dried fruit. Very tasty, and a dry finish. High ABV is totally hidden, and such a smooth easy drinker

F - Well carbonated and dry

O - Awesome brew!

One of the more "Belgiany" tripels I have had from an American brewery. Slightly hazy golden color with a large, pillow type head. Heavy lacing is left down the glass. Aroma of fruity yeast esters. Vinous qualities abound like the classics. The taste follows closely with the Belgian originals. But there is something in the finish that does not taste right. A little astringent perhaps, maybe a bitterness I was not expecting. But it distracts from an otherwise great attempt. It also needs a little bit more carbonation as this lays a little flat on the palate. A little more life could boost the flavors.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a Duvel tulip glass.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a big three finger off white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A spicy and fruity Belgian style aroma with a scent of yeast and dried fruit. Belgian yeast with some farmhouse funk and spice hints of clove, coriander, and pepper. Big scent of dried fruit with hints of banana, pear, apple, lemon, pineapple, orange, and white grape. Sweet hints of Belgian candied sugar. Malt scent of wheat, grains, cracker, and biscuit. Also some hints of grassy hops. A very nice Belgian aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a spicy and fruity Belgian style taste with notes of yeast and dried fruit. Belgian yeast with farmhouse funk and spice notes of clove, pepper, and coriander. Mix of dried fruit with notes of banana, apple, pear, lemon, orange, white grapes, and pineapple. Malt notes of wheat, grains, biscuit, and cracker. Notes of grassy hops. Also some slight Belgian candied sugar sweetness. A very good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Crisp, drying, and smooth with minimal alcohol heat.

Overall: A very good take on a Belgian Tripel/Golden Ale. Good mix of spicy yeast and fruit notes.
