Pours hazy pale golden color with chunks of yeast. Thick white head almost overflowed, but settled into a nice, long lasting layer. Nose has nice tangy fruits, yeasty/bready qualities, and a candied component. Palate offers a nice balance of flavors and a creamy mouthfeel. Would buy regularly if priced more reasonably compared to competitors such as NB Tripel. Or for this price, I'll just take the real examples from Belgium.

Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a tulip, the beer is a hazy, bright yellow coloring, with a halo of white head. Nose of grass, lemon, butter, floral hops, and all-spice. Flavors are lemon-grass forward, with bitter hops, pepper spice, and toasted notes. Smooth, mid-bodied, with a grainy and herbal aftertaste. Light, smooth, herbal linger in the finish. Very nice, well crafted beer.

Picked up a 750 ml bottle in late March for $13.99. Total Wine Arrowhead received it on 11-11-13 but i could not discern a bottling date.

Beer poured golden with a beautiful white head that is leaving lacing behind.

Nose has hints of citrus and light malts.

Taste is lemon pepper with a nice light malt base.

Mouthfeel is legit belgian yeast strain, light and refreshing yet oh so smooth.

Overall this is a nice refreshing flavorful brew. Hard to believe that it is a 9.0 abv. This is the third solid brew i have had from Funkwerks, these folks are legit!
