11.2oz bottle aged 3 years, almost to the day
Pours very clear yellow-orange with a generous capping of foam that hangs around. It smells delicious: the scent is more like a fruit gum than a beer... melon, berries and earthy hop tones. The grape juice and honeydew translate from the smell into the taste, mellowing the pungent yeast and grain I come to expect from a saison. There is some alcohol burn and taste, with a thin feel and dry finish.
Such a great beer even after 3+ years of sitting on a shelf. Pleasant hop burps here from a satisfied customer

Soft.
White pepper, white grape, lime, salt, coriander. Wheat. 2-row. Honeydew melon. Spicy Belgian yeast.
Balanced and enjoyable, with impressive nuance and subtlety.
A very drinkable saison with a terrific hop profile...I wouldn't have thought Nelson hops would play so damn well in a saison, but I'm happy to be wrong.

Nice Saison. Tart and little funk, spice and herbal. Some dryness on the finish. Light colored and huge fizzy head. Plenty carbonation. There is a little sweet fruit up front (like pear) that starts off the drink nicely. Bitterness is smooth and soft. Hops flavors come and go throughout the drink with some fruit but also herbal tastes. Mixes nicely.

L: hazy straw filled with streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 2" finely beaded white foam blanket with good retention
S: hops dominate the aroma with white wine, grapes, berry, fruit and light grains
T: A big prickle starts the flavors with grape, white wine, pear, fruit some grain and a trace of tart. The bitterness is moderate.
F: light and highly carbonated
O: very elegant beer, wine-like and refreshing

Big thanks to Wasatch for another Funkwerks treat!
Beautiful lightly cloudy straw color pour with an ample topper of pure white foam that relaxes finally to a lasting cap. Beautiful look for a saison.
Mmm, overripe fruit and spicy funk with floral and rounded tart. Doughy sweet backs it all up. Alluring bouquet for sure.
The overripe fruit of the aroma is expressed as white wine in the taste, and it leads a parade of deliciousness. Light earthy funk , with some peppery spice, and crisp sweet grain hold hands with doughy tart notes that are balanced well. End of sip is a vinous and dry bitter and pepper.
Highly viscous and thick for style, but very refreshing character somehow also achieved. Killer finish that is a clean as a whistle, bright linger with amazing complexity.
Another delicious saison from Funkwerks that is a joy to drink. Highly recommended

Nelson Sauvin pours a straw like color, with lots of bubbles, and a small, long lasting and lacing head. Big spicy aroma, hint of sweetness. Flavor is yeasty, spicy, with sweet notes. Great body and feel. Overall, a very tasty and well put together saison. A sweet yet bitter.

Lovely tall pile of sticky foam in the Saxo narrow tulip. Color is a slightly hazy pale golden. Interesting funky aroma with lime peel and yeasty fresh bread. Voluminous carbonated mouthfeel is rather nice.
Fruity and rather sweet to start. Even a hint of candied grapefruit peel. The hops are a good choice for this brew, providing that touch of fruit and citrus with a little yeasty flavor. From the four-pack of 12 oz bottles purchased at Grapevine Liquors in Denver. Nice to see such a good Saison in this format for a moderate price.
