I stopped in based on reviews here and I was not surprised to receive fantastic service. As a new brewer with no brews in the kettle yet, I was given good advise and Josh(?) took the time to help me select the hops and yeasts I needed to get my first brews going.

I couldn't be more pleased and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Needed some Champagne yeast, and the place I normally go to was out.
I had my GPS find this place, and boy was I surprised.
Selection of malts and hops was great.
They had some liquid yeast, which I haven't seen in a store in Bangor for a while.
Prices were competitive, and selection was excellent.
People in store were knowledgeable, think I may have a new homebrew supply store.

I was so impressed with this place. Noticed it across from the bagel shop when I was in town and stopped in to pick up some of that 2-row they grow in Aroostook County.

Selection of malts and hops was really impressive- didn't get a look at the yeast. The guy working there was really friendly, and they make their own brew kits in-house, named for Bangor landmarks.

And the prices are competitive, sometimes lower than Northern Brewer and other online shops.

I really wish I had this place in Lewiston. Amazing.

Stopped in at the suggestion of a friend. He went to highschool with the owner. At first glance it is your basic homebrew shop. After I looked around I liked it more. They have a great selection of hops one of the best I've seen at a good price. I overherd the owner talking with some womern who were buying some stuff for there boyfriends or husband he was very helpful explaing how the kits work and was suggesting a homebrew class he was offering. He also helped me grind some grains and pick through the hops. We chatted up about what we were brewing and he seemed very interested. The prices for everything were clearly labeled and very reasonable what you would find on northen brewer, much less then my local portland brewshop

They got a great selection of malts, better then anywhere else I have seen in Maine, and they will go the extra mile to get what you want. Very good hop selection, good yeast selection, both dry and liquid. If they don't have it, they will try to get it for you. I believe they are making their own kits as well. They are also very interested in local products and sustainability. I was very happy to see they have some malt grown in Aroostook county, and they were working with local farmers to get hops grown close to home. Highly recommended.

I'm very excited to see these guys starting up this homebrew supply store. They've only been open for a short while and their selection already surpasses anything we've known in the Bangor area. They also are supporting the community with classes such as cheesemaking and brewing, and by hosting "Green Drinks". They are also starting a homebrew club to bring us brewers in the area together. They have a good selection of hops, white labs yeast, grains and adjuncts and if there is anything you want that isn't on the shelf they'll order it. The store is set up really cool, the people are nice, and I think they'll do awesome!
