In a pilsner glass this beer was a hazy yellow color. It was well-carbonated with a decent size white head. There was a fair amount of lace.

Aroma was citrus, herbal. Sweet malt.

Grapefruit, a little lemon. Herbal. Sweet bread.

Crisp and hoppy. Great mouthfeel.

I hope more of their beers make their way up to Maine.

Picked this up today. It was on sale for $8.99 versus $11.99. Poured into a pint glass. As soon as I opened it and took a quick sniff I smelled strong aromas grassy/piney. Seeing the other reviews I definitely think this a a zesty and real funky beer. Also getting some hay flavors as well. Good session beer

Poured into an IPA glass.

Look: Murky soft straw-orange body. Foamy white head. Decent retention and lacing.

Aroma: A nice blend of toasty malts, dried grass, and hops.

Taste: For the most part, a really zesty, grassy, hoppy body. Malts are subtle underneath and add great balance.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, dry.

Overall: This is well balanced, nice toasty flavors.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium golden yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising slowly from the bottom of the glass and some faint bright yellow highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy white head that slowly reduces to a finger thick layer covering the entire surface and a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of bready malts (almost what I would call doughy) with lighter aromas of spicy hops. Hints of floral hops as well.

T: Upfront there us a moderate flavor bready and doughy malts that has just a hint of sweetness initially but an earthiness that carries throughout. There are light to moderate flavors of spicy, herbal, and floral hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: This is a very easy to drink and very enjoyable example of the style and hits the purpose of the series of beer right on the head (this is a beer that I could easily drink every day for the rest of my life). Enough flavor and aroma to be interesting but completely sessionable. Great job on this one.
