A base of pale, Munich, and Carapils malts is just enough to contain the massive hop flavor and aroma packed into this highly drinkable IPA. A blend of four American hop varieties is added four times in the kettle and twice in the fermentor for a complex and layered hop experience. Best served at 45-50˚F in a tulip or English style pint glass.

12oz can, date stamped 10/26/23
I’ve always wanted to try a Westbrook beer - finally got some! Gotta go with the IPA.
L: hazy tangerine colored ale; tall & frothy ivory colored head cakes foam along the top of the glass as it fades
S: caramelized grain, bread crust, grapefruit pith, earthy pine
T: bread crust, caramel, nutty grain, earthy pine, grapefruit pith & zest, faint pineapple and nectarine in the backgrounds
F: fuller body, creamy yet resinous with hops sticking to the palate, bitter finish
O: does not disappoint

Hoppy and smooth... lots of flavor from sip to swallow. Very pleasant. Surprisingly hazy, but def not a hazy ipa.

Had Westbrook's IPA poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "12/13/21," into willi becher.
Pours hazy melon-gold with 2-finger, creamy off-white head, with good retention, leaving thick, splotchy lace down the glass. Aroma of grassy hops off pour, and then classic but sweet grapefruit, with a little resin and a little more malt joining as warms, along with sweet stone fruits and pineapple. Begins grapefruit and bitter, resinous hops, which briefly reveal mild malt body, then hop bite grows huge and overwhelming, allowing malt presence to continue but only as a nice creamy body, before finally relenting enough for some sweet stone fruits to show, with all leading into a classic bitter, resinous, grapefruit finish.
This starts like what one used to expect from the flagship IPA of every leading brewery: grapefruit and bite, but then slips in some (in 2011) avant-garde stone and tropical fruits, before the big, bitter finish. Westbrook's IPA has been around a while but still might chart the best course forward between all of the trendy IPA styles . . . .

This one is sac bunt when it’s 2-2 in the bottom off the ninth and the runner goes to third with one out. It’s not Babe Ruth smashing a bomb to win it and then he smashes a hot dog, a glass of bourbon, and, well, you know what else. Westbrook just does it and they do it good.

Shared 330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Huge white head. Very nice hoppy aroma, fruity and piney notes. Medium sweet flavour, again with distinct piney and fruity hops.
