A: The beer is crystal clear orange amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that gradually died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted malts are present in the nose along with notes of earthy yeast and spicy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, starting out with initial flavors of toasted malts and bits of caramel and finishing with earthy notes of yeast and spicy notes of hops. Slight hints of maple syrup are noticeable towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very nice American representation of a German Oktoberfest. While it has a lot of malty flavors in the taste, it's not that heavy on the palate and goes down rather easily.

"This is an Octoberfest-style amber lager brewed with Munich and Caramunich malts and hopped with German noble hop varieties. The Bavarian lager yeast leaves a clean, malt-focused beer perfect for drinking by the liter outside in the cool fall weather." Brewed in the style of a Märzen/Oktoberfest beer. Available as a fall release in 22 oz. bottles and on draft.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle to a pint glass. Served above 52º Fahrenheit.

(Appearance) Pours a frothy creamy head of a pale tan color over a moderately hazy orange body. Retention is good, lacing is light and spotty. 4

(Smell) Aromas of biscuity malt, sourdough bread, pear and tart apple ciders, smells much like unfermented mash. Somewhat tea-like. Potency is medium. 3.5

(Taste) Bready, biscuity malt profile with a tough of grainy caramel and cocoa on the finish, slightly more gruff and malty than the aroma with less fruit and acidity to account for. 3.25

(Mouthfeel) Texture is slick, mildly chewy and medium dry. Carbonation generates a frothy texture for a sudsy mouthfeel. Body is medium+ for the style, medium overall. Balance is slightly sweet and earthy over bitter. Alcohol presence is mild, there are no off characters. 3.5

(Overall) Noticed my local store got last year's batch in this fall which means these bottles are quite old and likely not up to their prime. Nonetheless it's a somewhat enjoyable Oktoberfest-style lager with a great deal of malt character to go with it. 3.5
