The Märzenbier is an Octoberfest-style amber lager brewed with Vienna, Munich, and Caramunich malts and lightly hopped with German Perle hops. The Bavarian lager yeast leaves a clean, malt focused beer perfect for drinking by the liter outside in the cool fall weather!

The fourth quarter of the year isn't always all about the dark beer. Oktoberfest brings out a ton of Marzen options with Westbrook included. The beer is a blend of a cream ale and a classic Marzen. It has the most body for this style I have had, crossing over the medium threshold. It has all the maltiness and sweetness you crave. Perfectly paired with some fresh pretzels.

Dark amber body that is mostly clear and topped with kahki foam. Caramel malt, acron, earthy yeast, brown bread in a refined way with a kiss of spicy old world hops in both smell and taste, though the taste was more cohesive. Feel is malty at the base, yeasty at the height, and slightly hopped on the finish, but never thins out from the compact yet rewarding body.
Paired especially nicely with pretzel and mustard. The wife liked

Pours a translucent honey color with a couple fingers of rocky off white foam. Reducing into a nice ring, leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is lemon, grass, herbal qualities, sweet malt, honey, and burnt sugar. Taste follows suit with sweet malt up front, tinged delightfully by a tart lemon herbal undertone, finishing and earthy bitterness. Feel is smooth but has a nice carbonation crisp to it. Delightful beer, would enjoy again.

A 22oz bomber with a bottled on date of 9.25.15

L - Copper, with 1/2 a finger of head, no lacing really

S - Toasted malts, ready, and moderate sweetness. Very light aroma - have to dig deep to get it

T - Sweet, malty, standard German style brew. Ready

F - Thin body, light carbonation (maybe because its over a year old)

O - This one is over a year old so I think its lost some of its crispness, but a good take on the style
