Notes/Commercial Description:
This is our interpretation of Gose (pronounced “Gose-uh”), a traditional German-style sour wheat beer brewed with coriander and salt. Once nearly extinct, this very refreshing style is making a comeback.

A - Dark yellow, hazy, just a little froth, but quickly dissipates

S - Salty, beachy, malts

T - Tart, sour, bitter, salty

M - Light to medium bodied, tartness leaves short lived aftertaste.

O - Great version of a German classic. I was pleasantly surprised.

This has become my lawnmower beer of choice.

If your a big fan of traditional Gose be prepared for an enjoyable departure. I truly enjoy the fact that the carbonation is higher and the tartness tarter. The only reason that I did not rank it higher was because of the fact that it was so different from it's style roots.

a full 5 on the crushable scale!

Huge thanks to TheSevenDuffs for an amazing box that including this Gose.

A: In all ways it looks like an unfiltered fresh pressed apple juice, a murky dark straw colour with just a slight ring of off white head circles the glass. No lacing.

S: Crisp and tart with apple and pear. As advertised its salty, with a slight sweet maltiness like a salted caramel. Background wheatiness with subtle hints of a lactic acid which reminds me of pancakes at breakfast.

T: Tart apples and pears, lemon juice and wheat with a brine saltiness on the finish. Not picking up any coriander however that doesn't take away from the complexity of the flavours.

M: Light to medium body with active carbonation. Bright and crisp.

O: Clean, crisp and refreshing, this is an exceptional Gose that is a perfect summer beer. Happy to see this style making a comeback.
