Received this bottle in person from CasanovaCummins. Poured from a bomber, bottled on 3/14/13, into my Stone goblet.
A - Pours a crystal clear copper/amber color with a very minimal amount of head. Quickly falls to a thin film.
S - Holy hop bomb Batman! This one is just bursting with floral notes and tropical fruits. Mangos, pineapples, and papayas. Smells better than most DIPAs I've ever smelled.
T/M - Caramel malts combine with the hops in such a way that it almost gives the beer a bourbon barrel aged flavor. Kinda coconutty. The hop profile is so big, but the solid caramel malt backbone holds up nicely to it. There is a nice papaya aftertaste tho. A little heat in the taste, but not that bad. Medium slick mouthfeel, a little under carbonated.
O - This is one of the tastiest DIPAs I've tasted. Somehow this one gets hoppier as it warms. Is that posible. I would definitely buy it all day long if I could, but I can't. So if this is available in your area, go out and get a case! Cheers!

The beer comes in a light golden amber color.
The aroma has big grapefruit peel, a light pine, a bready and dough malt in there.
The flavor follows with a burst of grapefruit peel, citrus, a bit of tropical, then onto some pine. A light sweetness and a bready malt. Then some alcohol as well.
A really good drinking DIPA.

10 oz. pour in a snifter at Kudu on Vanderhoest St. in Charleston, SC; unknown brewing/kegging date; drank over 30 minutes
A: 3/3 - mandarin orange coloration; initial frothy 1/2 finger head resolves into a subtle glass lacing that retained throughout drinking
A: 9/12 - moderate citrus and piney/resin notes - suspect some Centennial and Simcoe in the mix; background bready/biscuity and dough-like qualities with alcohols
T: 17/20 - initial hit of bitterness opens the taste buds and leads into flavors that match the nose - sticky overripe grapefruit, pineapple, pine cones and resinous (date I say dank?); in the middle of the mouth; there is again biscuity/grainy malt bill and some fusyl alcohols; finishes sweet but still highly drinkable
M: 5/5 - thick hop resins coat the tongue; high body from the hops and alcohol; low carbonation that, I think, is appropriate in an imperial IPA
O: 9/10 - big, citrus and piney DIPA that is a really nice East-meets-Midwest affair; the barista informed us that Westbrook won't be brewing this again because Shane moved to COAST, which may mean good things for them
TOTAL - 43/50
