A monstrously big and hoppy Double IPA. The recipe for this beer was developed by Brewer Shane Cummings. F**kin' A!

16oz Growler. Served at around 40-45F.

Pours ever so slightly hazy orange amber with a three finger off-white head

Aroma is big on hops with a little bit of everything, juicy orange citrus, pineapple, dank resinous hops, some weed, some cat piss, some pine, mild caramel malt but pretty much all hops. Very good strength.

Flavor is orange, fruity hops, pineapple, pine, resin, some dankness, quite a bit more caramel malt in the flavor than the aroma offering up a decent bit of sweetness, moderate bitterness, finishes sweet and fruity with some well-integrated alcohol.

Mouthfeel is medium-plus bodied, somewhat creamy, quite oily, moderate carbonation.

Very nice. Definitely like this better than their standard IPA. The aroma is fantastic, flavor is very good but more sweet than I normally care for in an IPA.

A - Bright orange with a slight brown tint. Good white head with lots of foam

S - Balanced nose that has both mango sweetness and grapefruit bitterness

T - Mango and pineapple up front initially. Good hit of pine and grapefruit bitterness hit as the beer moves along the tongue. There is a malty orange sweetness that comes thru to temper the bitterness which lingers in the finish

M - Medium sticky body with hop resin remains on the tongue

O - Good balanced IPA that has both sweet mango flavors while also having a nice bitter presence to it

650 mL bottle poured into a snifter.

Appearance - Deep orange. Clear. Medium white head. Good retention with a medium collar.

Smell - Grapefruit. Smells like simcoe. Caramel malt. Some booze.

Taste - Orange and grapefruit. Sweet citrus. Gets a little herbal and pithy in the back. Sweet doughy malts. Bitter in the back.

Mouthfeel - Medium body. A bit boozy. Medium carbonation.

Overall - Enjoyable, but I'd take Boy King over this.

Served from bottle into a Westbrook snifter (proper!). Poured yellow-orange with a minimal off-white head. Maintained nice lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, onion, onion hop, and earth. The flavor was of sweet malt, citrus, citrus hop, onion, earth, and onion hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. I went in to this beer not really expecting too much if I am completely honest. However, what I found was a really well balanced double IPA that made it really easy to drink and quite enjoyable. The onion aspect going on was a very nice touch to the citrus that was present. Another well done brew by the guys in the southern part of the state. Brew on guys!
