A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a black color and a thick texture. There was a thin, tan-colored, creamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing.
S: A decent aroma of chocolate, milk, and a bit of malt.
T: Tasted of milk, a bit of oatmeal, malt, and milk chocolate in the finish. A pretty good flavor that gets better as it goes along. Not spectacular, but tasty.
M: A fair amount of carbonation with a silky finish. Medium-bodied.
O: In general, this is a solidly made, likeable beer. It won't blow you away, but it is certainly drinkable.

Served from bottle into a Westbrook snifter (proper!). Poured a massively dark brown (almost black) with a half finger light tan head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, chocolate, dark chocolate, cream, and milk. The flavor was of sweet malt, cream, milk, milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and subtle roasted malt. It had a light feel on the palate with medium-high carbonation. Overall this was a pretty good brew. The lactose aspect going on in this one was overly present throughout the aroma and flavor. This made this one extremely easy to drink and quite enjoyable. The sweetness from this aspect blended really well with the roastiness from the dark chocolate going on. I really hope to see this one brewed more often as this was a really solid milk stout and among one of the better ones I've had in my day.

Tap at Grapevine. Muddy black pour, finger of light tan head that fades fairly quickly. Laces a very small amount.
Aroma, quite roasty, malt and some coffee. Just a little lactose. Some chocolates.
Taste, the roast malt really keeps the sweetness in check. There is really only a little chocolate milk sweetness. A surprising anise hop bitterness to it as well. The lactose tang and some chocolate linger a nice bit.
About middle of the road body wise. Carbonation is maybe just a tick high, but it drinks very easily. They didn't have the abv but it is obviously in the usual range. Reminded me a bit of the old Mackesons XXX.

appearance: Very dark brown, almost completely opaque. Fat chocolate mocha head on the pour that mostly sticks around. Messy lacing coats the sides of the glass. Quite a looker.
smell: Semi-sweet cocoa, some vanilla.
taste: nails a milk stout. Drinks like a milkshake. Not complex by any means but nails it.
mouthfeel: quite silky, creamy. Exceptional.
overall: Very tasty and well done. I'm a little spoiled by the imp barrel aged monsters, so this just feels a little light. That said, it's a stand-out, no alcohol detectible at all. Smooth milkshake.

Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. Label says Bottled On: 3/21/13
A- Pours a fully opaque black color with a 1/2 inch light brown head that retains a bit before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of surface foam. Non-resilient bubbly lacing slides quickly down the glass.
S- Milk chocolate aroma with heavy dark roast, caramel and vanilla. Hint of cherry?
T- The roastiness continues and is on the border of exhibiting charred notes while still having a nice sweetness to it. Not all too complex since you get all the same flavors that showed up in the aroma but it's quite tasty in its simplicity.
M- Semi-creamy and plenty thick with medium carbonation and a full body.
O- A straightforward milk stout that's quite enjoyable.

22oz bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 6.49. Bottled 11/13/13. Served in a Terrapin snifter.
Pours a cola dark, near black, brown with a frothy three fingers of pale tan head. Good retention and ample lacing.
Smells of evaporated milk, sugar cane, lightly roasted malts and hints of chocolate milk.
Taste is pretty straight forward milk stout. Heavy lactose sweetness throughout with cocoa, diluted coffee, faint char, bran muffins, vanilla, oats, earthy and roasty bitterness with no dicernable alcohol. Quite tasty with a good balance of sweet and roasty flavors working in harmony.
Creamy, rich, medium thin body with moderate carbonation. Sweet condensed milk, bitter roast and chocolatey finish.
A great classic sweet stout. Well balanced and easy to drink. I'd like to see this in four or six packs on a regular basis. It's one of the better classic milk stouts I've had and the added feel of the oatmeal is quite nice. If you were on the fence, you should pull the trigger and give this a try.
