appearance: Hazy golden. Thick, frothy head.
smell: Yeast, funk and a touch of fruit. Quite dry.
taste: Much like the nose. a tingly bitter finish. Some malt in the taste I didn't get in the nose. Again, quite dry.
overall: Enjoyable, probably won't seek this out again though.

Thanks to AtlCarl, who I now know is as suave in person as he is in the boxes of beer that he dispenses across the country. 750ML bot-tel split with my saison-questioning wife.
The pour is a shade of orange that would make a mixologist proud: unnatural. Nose is a preview of ripes oranges, farmer's market flowers, bit of freeze-dried banana. I've eaten freeze dreid bananas in the back-country. Once. Won't do that again.
Bearded Thomas is a weird, fizzy, flaky mess. Oranges try to compete with the saison yeasts, fail. Yeastiness gets the upper hand & flips off the palate, nose, throat, & thigh bone, just for good measure. Citrus, banana, orange flit in & out of the yeast, but they're pretty much drowned. Overly carbonated, per my wife, & I agree, tingles like champagne going down. Half a bomber? Too much.
This doesn't have much in the way of redeeming qualities. Flavor profile is too yeasty, not enough beery, hard to drink, too much carbonation. Not much to admire here, & not going to bother to finish about half of this. Not a good effort by a good brewery.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter.
Appearance - Hazy bright orange. Big white head. Thick collar and very nice surface foam.
Smell - Very grassy. Herbal. Smells almost spiced. Appley esters.
Taste - More herbal. Lots of malt. Kinda bitter. Very herbal in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium body. Bitter.
Overall - Eh. Bitter and malty. Really herbal from the hops.
