Lots going on with this beer. It pours fairly unassuming with a deep brown/black body. The nose has hints of spice and booze primarily. The taste is liquid Apple Jacks. The apple brandy blends with the cinnamon and other spices in perfect harmony. One of the most interesting flavors I've had and certainly worth seeking out.

Jet black body with a thin dark tan head which doesn't last long. Mild lacing. Aroma is overwhelming with raisins with notes or caramel and apple. The flavor is rich with the Apple brandy barrel well represented. It's a touch on the sweet side but the spice and peppers are well represented; better than expected for a 2013 beer. Body is smooth and full. Enjoyed at westbrook's awesome tap room. One of the best beers I have ever had. It just takes a hit for the unidimensional aroma and sweetness.
