22oz brown bomber with no freshness date, layer of yeast is noticeable on the bottom of the bottle but care was taken with the decanting to leave this out of the glass. Clear dark amber color, head crackles a bit but the lacing stays. Chalky yeast and nutty toasted grain in the nose. Slick and crisp medium body. Quick flash of sweet toasted grain meets a thick slab of yeast flavor. Hint of fruit, faint fusel alcohol and more yeast in the middle. Hop bitterness is there but the flavor seems lacking. Toasted husk and yeast seem to not want to clear off the palate and linger around too much. Dry-ish finish.

Not balanced, too yeasty and the alcohol fume is a bit too much. While it does have some decent malt flavor the rest takes away from any drinkability it may have had.

Found this at Champane's in Warren.

Pours a deep copper with two fingers of light tan head. Dissipates to a thin layer of foam. Some lacing, but it doesn't stick very well.

Aromas of caramel malt & floral hops.

First sip is of caramel and malt with a nice balancing hop bitterness. A little astrigency.

Mouthfeel is light, but not watery. Some prickly carbonation.

Drinkability is good. This makes a very good session beer.
