Can: Poured a pale yellow color Helles with a medium size white head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of unrefined grainy malt with light cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by cereal notes with unrefined grainy notes. Light butter and herbal notes can also be detected. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Malt bill is not clean enough for my taste.

Tallboy can from the LCBO; dated Dec 1 2016 and served well-chilled.
Pours a crystal-clear golden colour, with one finger of loose, frothy white head situated atop. It fizzles itself away over the next minute or two, with only a modest collar of foam surviving afterwards - save for a few patches of bubbly islands, the surface is otherwise bare. Minimal lacing; it's a pretty typical-looking pale lager. Lots of grainy, bready pale barley malts on the nose, with notes of soda crackers, grassy hay and herbal, somewhat spicy continental hops.
A well-crafted beer with a straightforward flavour profile (which is as a helles lager should be). Pale barley malts basically run the show here, with a crackery cereal grain flavour alongside some bready sweetness at the forefront. Noble hops join in on the back end, where they supply a subdued bitterness - grassy and lightly earthy, with floral and herbal suggestions. Finishes clean - or at least clean-ish, as the hops do linger for a few moments. Light in body, with moderately lively carbonation that ceaselessly prickles and pokes the surface of the palate for the duration of each sip. Absolutely sessionable.
Final Grade: 3.81, a B+. Kichesippi's Heller Highwater is a solid, faithful replication of one of my favourite types of German lager, one that could easily serve as a substitute in place of Spaten's or Hacker-Pschorr's helles lagers. A very strong effort - fans of German-style pale lagers can definitely consider this one worth trying, though I believe any BA seeking out something clean, light, refreshing and traditional will more than likely appreciate this beer. I've only had three of their beers, but Kichesippi is quickly shaping up to be my favourite brewer of the Ottawa area.

Bright yellow in color. Heavy "swampiness" factor on the nose. Had this brew as part of a lager flight. Wasn't the most memorable. Definte pungent barley scent here, not sure if this was a bad batch or not. Didn't have the heart to bring the can back to the LCBO. Black IPA from this brewery is much more commendable.

473 ml can served at cellar temperature into a pint glass. Purchased from the LCBO for about $2.90 CDN.
Appearance - perfectly clear pale golden beer. Minimal carbonation but a nice finger of white head rests on top. Not great retention and some lacing around the edges of the glass.
Smell - clean and grainy with a slightly vinous aroma becoming of a kolsch. Heavy coarse grain aroma as well, with a faint hint of adjunct like aromas.
Taste - nice bold and assertive grain flavor. Fruity aspects linger very far in the background with a creamy and crackers goodness dominating the forefront.
Mouthfeel - smooth with more carbonation than is visible to the naked eye. Body is a little heavy and clunky for a fine lager but easy enough to drink with a mildly dry finish.
Overall - Heller High Water is more than just a clever play on words, as it actually delivers a tasty and satisfying beer. While the nose and mouthfeel are a little clunky, the taste delivers assertive grainy flavours with a nice balance between sweet and bitter.

Appearance: Poured with two fingers of head that laced quite well and stuck around for some time. The body is a paler golden lager boasting ample carbonation. A bit more gold and less pale would have got the 5.
Smell: Has a somewhat excessively sweet grain scent with some slightly floral notes and touches of grass. Nothing bad, but nothing exceptional here.
Taste: Sweet sugary cereal, that strangely reminds me of Multi Grain Cheerios that turns to a slight peppery and then grass taste. Easy drinkin', and nothing bad, other then it's a bit too sweet for a lager for me.
Mouthfeel: The sweetness really hangs around for a bit too long, it also leaves you a slightly dry. However, it does has a certain sudsy smoothness.
Drinkability: Very easy to drink, with little issue getting it down, and very light bodied. This is where to lower ABV really helps this one out. A little dry though in the aftertaste hamstrings it a bit.
Final Thoughts: All an all, a good Lager and a welcome change from most big name lagers. This is the sort of thing you hand your buddies to replace their Budweiser. Good job guys.

Poured from a can with 1/2 inch head with a little lacing but had a helles colour and look. Smelt of a yeasty malt. Tasted grains with the twinge of hopes as advertised. Went down smooth and left a good reminder for after taste. A good show for this brew for a Helle but they advertise big on it being like Bavarian but having lived in Germany and lived on their beer for a few years it does not take me back, falls a bit short of standing up next to Bavarian Helles so loses some overall points but still well done.
