With thanks to Ramses, I was able to try this beer. Ramses brought his beer to a tasting organized by Fiona de Lange (the Dutch beer lady).

A - a golden haze with a white head.

S - A faint citrus smell.

T - Floral hop, the power of the hop has passed away. Sorry to say, but Ramses kept it to long on the shelf.

M - A medium carbonation.

O - I would love to try a fresh one. It is still a nice beer though, because of the use of floral hops.

Picked up a 33cl bottle of this for 2.15 Euro at De Bier Koning in Amsterdam after the shopkeep noticed that I was buying hoppy beers every time I came in, and suggested I give this beer a shot. It was listed on the shelf as an American IPA, and the shopkeep mentioned that they use a California yeast strain that is popular with a lot of West Coast IPA's.

On the label (in Dutch): The 60 minutes continuous hopping ensures a fantastic beer.

A: Pours a very cloudy blond/tannish hue with a fat head and a ton of lace. A really nice looking brew, but doesn't look anything like your average IPA - looked more like a witte to me.

S: Nice floral hop up front followed by earthy sweet malts, finishing with a faint fermented yeast smell.

T: Floral and hoppy just like the nose suggests, resinous and piney, followed up by a ton of sweet malt that overwhelms the hop a bit. Tastes like a really good batch of home brew pale ale than it does an IPA.

M: Medium bodied, very sticky, with good carbonation.

D: Better than average drinkability, but just a bit too sweet and malty for me to drink more than a couple. I would like to try it on tap though.

Brewed at De 3 Horne for Ramses Bier. Pacific Gem single hop.
Orange , hazy apperance. Beautiful white foam.
Hop and grassy smell, fresh, with fruity and tropical notes. Leetchee?
In the mouth the hop is dominant, still fresh and lightly fruity. White grapes note.
Quite bitter aftertaste, a bit too monotone on the hop, but after all, quite interesting.
