Had on tap at the restaurant

Appearance – A haze light golden-orange-yellow color with a very light head, giving way to some nice lacing.

Smell – A sweet yeasty blend. I got some strong lighter fruit aromas of tropical banana and a bit of mango mixed with some more mild citrusy and lighter floral aromas. A nice bready backbone aroma throughout the aroma makes the overall smell experience quite pleasant.

Taste – A sweetness of tropical fruits first meets the tongue. Banana, mango and some orange are the most prevelent. A smooth malty flavor with a bready-yeasty flavor then begins to take over, leaving a very pleasant aftertaste in the mouth. Surprisingly, there is not a large alcohol flavor in this brew at 9.3% abv. Well done.

Mouthfeel – A moderate level of carbonation, but with a body slightly thinner then would have been desired. While not really thick, it is nice, none the less, and very drinkable.

Overall – I rather enjoyed this beer. A sweeter Belgian with lots of fruity flavor. A nice spring time sipping beer.
