Although this shop has been outstripped by its sister store in the CD, it's still a gem, a true original, and one of the two or three best bottle shops in all of Seattle. Good people, great selection. Consistently. The layout and seating arrangements are awkward, but if you can overlook that you'll be, and go home, happy here.

I've been here many times, including yesterday. I was shopping for a BIF and had a couple beers (an excellent IPA from Structures and an excellent cask bitter from Bizarre).
Staff is great and knowledgeable, selection is incredible. 50 or so things on tap. Always interesting stuff, always something exciting to try.
Kids are allowed. They don't serve any meals as far as I know, but they have ice cream and snacks, and there's usually a food truck outside.
Pretty substantial amount of indoor seating, a little bit of outdoor seating.
One of the best beer stores I've ever been to.

Chucks Greenwood is a common haunt.
Family and dog friendly neighborhood shop with ice cream and snacks for kids, it's an awesome summer stop on beer runs.
As a 2021 venue, they haven't kept pace with COVID. No online ordering, but they mandate online reservations for taproom seating. The space is cramped and while pre-COVID, this was part of it's neighborhood beer store/taproom, it's a detriment during this pandemic.
Service has had huge variation throughout the years and the "service" rating varies with staff. Biased by friendships with most of them, they're polite, but not exactly engaging. Those that sit at the tiny little bar (when possible *cough* COVID) will have good conversations. Having said that, you don't exactly get the vibe that everyone is loving their job.
They care about beer, are a positive influence on beer in Seattle, but I find myself buying elsewhere more frequently.

I enjoyed the taps here and the folks pouring were knowledgeable and great to chat with! They had a large bottle selection but lacking a lot of regularly carried top brews I would hope to see at a shop of this caliber.

What a great selection of beers that are well organized by type. The staff are very knowledgeable and eager to help. The seating areas are a little dingy and dark and small

I love both of the Chuck's locations in the Seattle area, but this one seems to have more bottles available then the Central District. That might just be an optical illusion due to the different layouts, but I'm pretty sure this one has more of a selection of beers to go overall. The guys who work here are all really friendly and they always have good stuff on draft. Top notch all the way

V: It is a combination bottle shop/bar with a great neighborhood/local feel. Despite being busy with a large selection of bottles for everyone to look through, a bar and growler fills, Chuck's was laid back.
Ser: Bartender suffered through my wife's new interest in beers and repeated request for tasters. Granted the box of bottles I bought probably helped the cause.
Sel.: The best bottle selection I witnessed while in Seattle along with a tap list that offered several locals I could not find elsewhere.
Overall, I think this is my first 5 star place review. I cannot think of a single way to improve Chuck's in Greenwood. I love this shop so much, if I ever moved to Seattle, I'd try to live near Chuck's so I could walk to it.

I'm partial to central district Chuck's. This one is a bit more crowded but still has the same phenomenal selection and knowledgeable staff.

It's an unpretentious convenience store with ~40 taps, an excellent bottle selection, ice cream (for the kids or weak-willed adults), and food trucks. The interior layout is poor when it's busy (dictionary definition of a "bottleneck"), it's a bit dingy (but in a cozy and charming way), and the draft/growler prices are often befuddling. But, ultimately, if you are new or old to an interest in craft beer, this place is a must-visit when in Seattle. You'll feel welcomed here, and will always find something (and probably many things) to drink.

This is my goto beer store/taphouse. Great food trucks every night and weekend afternoons, too. Very knowledgeable, friendly staff. Great draft beer selection and if you do the samplers, it is a great deal. Very good selection of beers to buy as well. Great events weekly, including trivia.

Great selection, layout is a bit cumbersome especially with everyone in line for beer on tap.

Stellar staff. I went in expecting to find one or two gems, but once I started talking up the staff, I left with a case full. Great selection, and a staff who listened to what I was looking for, and then they were more than happy to help. The dingy outside makes it especially charming.

This was by far my favorite beer stop during the entire San Francisco to Seattle road trip. Now being from the Mid-Atlantic where the concept of a liquor store/tap house is a lot more rare, maybe I was just easily amused and impressed, but this place is awesome.
If I lived in Seattle, this would be my go to spot regularly. It's a combination of a mini-mart, beer store and bar. They have electronic tap system that looks great and highlights specific beers. The night I was there they had a Midnight Sun Sampler special ($8 for four 4-oz pours). You had to choose from categories, but I still got Son of Beserker and Bar Fly, which was a great deal. Good service, fast moving line.
The bottle coolers surround the seating area and are divided by style. They have everything from local staples to the big boys and even a few expensive rare vintage bottles that if you are from out of town, are worth the time. I bought a Fremont Bourbon Abominable, Breakside Bourbon Barrel Aztec and a few almanacs. Pricing seemed normal.
The only negative I could ever highlight is it is a bit cramped when busy. The seating area is right next to the bar and then it is boxed in by the bottle coolers, so if it is busy, there is a lot of foot traffic.
I wish I had place like this in the DC area and can't wait to go back. Go here, enjoy, thank me later.

I've been going to Chuck's since they first opened, after converting from a little corner convenience store. They've grown and expanded and I'd say their now a community hub for the Crown Hill/Greenwood neighborhood. Great beer selection (among the best in the city), huge tap list, good focus on Northwest beers, great food trucks on the regular, nice little beer garden where their tiny parking lot used to be. Beer prices tend to be on the high side (5% to 10% above other spots). It's not fancy, but the space is welcoming. Families congregate and relax here, staff is really friendly. Chuck's is an asset to the city.
