L- A lovely deep clear chestnut brown. Pours with a 1Cm pillowy pale tan head. (ps 15mins later the head is still holding up very well).
S- I'm quite congested, but I get some deep roastiness together with rich malts.
T- Ah yes that's better, and it ties with the smell^. There's an aspect of dark fruits here, overall it's pretty full-on yet very elegant with nothing leaping out (of balance) demanding 'Look at me!'.
F- I think this is a bit of a dark horse, together with a fine one. It's quite under-stated for 7.5% ABV. I can sense the kind of pungency of mouth-feel that comes at such ABV's... but it fits discreetly within the overall profile really well.
O- Lovely, very drinkable. Given it's subtlety too I could enjoy a few of these say as a winter beer. I noted zero here that was other than good and enjoyable, and I'd happily buy this one again.
Bought from BeersOfEurope/UK for home delivery. 330ml. BB: 09/01/22. £3.09.

Slightly astringent finish on this brune, leaves sour taste on palate. Wine/cola aroma, dark but clear brown, with airy head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass. Taste...prune juice? The sweetness sets this one apart from the pack of Belgian brunes....

After spending two hours hiking around the uterine of the Namur Citadel (Yep, the Belgians call the tunnels in their castles uteruses) I stopped for a beer in the Restaurant du Panorama. Nice view and good beer. This one poured into the proper glass a dark brown with a thick and everlasting tan head. Very pretty with dancing carbonation streams. The aroma and flavor were not unlike Leffe Bruin. Smells very figgy with plenty of prunes. Rich dark malts and dried fruit yeast make up the bulk of the flavor along with a little candied sugar and a touch of coriander spice in the finish. Smooth, medium bodied, with a nice carbonation bite at the finish. Simple but solid beer. Very enjoyable.

Pours a brown ale color with a thick creamy tan head that leaves loads of lacing around the glass. Medium amounts of carbonation.
Smell is of figs, fruits, yeast, alcohol
Taste is very malty with some subtle spicy notes, alcohol is present but not unpleasant.
Very good beer I would have anther and keep it stocked.
